What do you do outside of Jiu-jitsu?
When you aren't strangling or being strangled, what do you do for hobbies and/or work? I create all sorts of content, myself! Memes, podcasts, books, audio books. I also love to Onewheel 🤙🤙

I am a construction worker, but would love to build a brand.
Favorite qualities in a gi?
I'm thinking about designing the first Because Jitsu Gi, but want to get some feedback from yes-gi enjoyers what features/qualities you most look for in your battle jammies? Drop your ideas below! ⬇️🥋⬇️

I'm not too picky but a good quality pant tie is nice. Some sweet accent colors are pretty cool. Just got a Supernatural and so far it's my favorite Gi. Second would be Hyperfly probably.
Sparring/Tournament footage
One of the ways that has really helped me and the students I've coached improve over the years is filming Sparring/tournament footage. Sometimes, seeing yourself from the 3rd person makes errors or improvement opportunities much more obvious. What's more, being that we have a growing and engaged community here of all belt levels, if you'd like to get some 3rd party eyes on your game, feel free to use this space for that! (If people start leaning into it, we may even build a seperate chat in here for that purpose). I don't think you can post video directly to Skool yet (it's a fairly new platform), but you can upload video to YouTube and set the visibility to "Unlisted". That way, people won't find it while searching on YouTube, but you can post the direct link here for people to watch and help you with! Let's help each other grow 💪 🤙🥋🤙

My only issue with recording myself is that when I watch it back I give myself the "ick" lol Poor videography skills is a big factor, unless I have someone available to record it's hard to get decent footage it seems.

@Chris Schellenberger yeah, probably just my social awkwardness flaring. I agree with you. As a tool for progress, film quality isn't the most important thing.

Instructional Books?
Does anyone read instructional books anymore? If so what ones? I find myself quite often opening up Marcelo Garcia’s X-Guard

Jiu Jitsu University comes to mind lol I don't use or need them much but the nostalgia makes it too hard for me to give them up. (I still have a ton of Jiu Jitsu Mag and instructional books)
