Data Protection Framework
I've been working with a lot of companies recently on data protection rollouts leveraging Microsoft Purview. Given the exposure and how much Microsoft has changed things over the last year, I've been building a more wholistic framework that you could leverage as a repeatable process with most businesses. In my opinion, solutions like DLP and sensitivity labels are some of the hardest things to implement AND get adoption. In fact, 61% DLP deployments that are disabled or in monitor-only mode within 12 months of production deployment. As I wrap up a guide, I wanted to see: 1. 1. How many of you are actively doing DLP/data protection rollouts today? 2. 2. What are some of the top things you struggle with?

We use 3rd party apps to secure. CIPP, Petra, Avanan, Dropsuite, Usecure, Yubikey along w/mfa and P2 Lic where we can. Slowly switching to passkey. I know we need more security in areas based on client needs and but that depends on the client budget. Purview is nice feature but needs an app to format the output form all our clients. We use DLP for compliance clients and works to catch any targeted info in emails. Not hard to setup. Just be thorough in your documentation on setup.

@Dan B That's what bugs us about Microsoft. Can never leave anything alone to the UI while still able to add features.
