Being a coach in today's world is a wonderful experience filled with positive trial and error and moving away from what to think and into how to think. Fixed v Growth mindset gets thrown around loosely these days but understanding that there is no right and wrong in basketball only to be less wrong than you were yesterday. All aspects of basketball comes into play here, what defence do you run, what spacing should you run for your team, how should you deliver feedback? Everything should be examined and developed and that is the beauty of the game. It is always ever evolving into a space we have not hit (and may never will). Basketball is so much bigger than winning and losing, it builds a small piece of society through the sport. Some questions to ask yourself if your season is just starting what are you non negotiables? What suites your team? Are you a smaller or bigger team? And what type of human do you want to create at the end of the season.
