If you want to enjoy your work, get paid more, and stand out from everyone else, double down on you. Your uniqueness will attract an authentic niche audience - and allows you to charge premium prices. But sometimes it's hard to recognise in ourselves what our strengths and even passions are. It feels quite normal to us. That's why it's good to chat to others ... what do they see in you? Each one of us has a unique essence that people may not be able to articulate but when they see it they recognise it. "That's very you!" "Only you would do that!", As most of you know already @Caroline Fransz won the Leaderboard Challenge last week and her prize was a Business Goals Consult with me. But I feel like I won the prize - because I got to discover more of who Caroline is - and it opened up a whole new world that I never knew existed! Suddenly we weren't just talking about crochet or continuity offers anymore. We were talking about precious family heirlooms and gifts passed down from her grandmother and mother and a whole culture built around island life and even Vikings!! I learnt about the Shetland Islands and some of their heritage and premium products they've been sharing with the world for decades. Since the call has ended I've continued to watch Youtube videos and I found out the Shetland Island equivalent of "whistle while you work" is knitting while you walk - weird! What is something that others recognise is "very YOU"? Do you value that? Can you incorporate that essence into your daily work?

Most of my net worth has come from meeting new people. I invited someone to a barbecue in my backyard once. It led to an annual contract of quarter of a million dollars. Great entrepreneurs have great entrepreneurial communities. Listen closely and they’re always talking about the other people they’re working with and learning from.
