Are you a "Meteoropath" too? 🌦️
Our weather has been heavy, hot and gloomy here the past few days. Not impressed LOL. It has me thinking about something I learned recently - there is an actual medical term for something I’ve experienced my entire life: meteoropathy. It means your physical body and mood are highly reactive to changing weather conditions. For me, this sensitivity is intense. My mood shifts dramatically with the weather, and I have an extreme sensitivity to wind—it makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable, and my ears are highly sensitive to it. It turns out my body is basically a walking, talking barometer! I have to wear ear muffs when walking along the riverfront even in summer! I know I can’t be the only one who feels the atmosphere shifting before it even happens. Or who needs sunshine to feel happy and whole.🌞Do changes in barometric pressure, sudden storms, or windy days completely alter your mood, energy, or pain levels? I’d love to know if you experience this too, and how you cope with it!

@Zsuzsana Dawson lol I like your way of thinking!!! I am in the older group as well but my brain keeps telling me I am 30ish. Haha. I did not know that tornadoes happened that far North. That is surprising.

@Zsuzsana Dawson life moves so fast and it seems to get faster every day. Maybe it is just that I have slowed down considerably and I can’t go as fast as I used to. So I feel like I can’t keep up. But at the same time I want my life to be slow and intention and that is my current crossroads. Slowing down at work also meaning the finances slow down as well and that is scary. I am at that beautiful and frightening age where I am clearing what no longer serves my life but I have not found a balance to being where I am and where I want to be yet. It is a path in progress. I am 56 and my handsome hubby will turn 69 in September. He has decided to stop doing all the “extra” things he has been doing too. He has been semi retired since 62. Which means he has been working more hours doing things he loves. Which I love for him ❤️. You know you are no longer on the top of the mountain when you start discussing things like walk in shower with a seat 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. We are relatively healthy as we can be in our world of everything is poisoned. Aging is scary and it walks across our faces and our bodies. But it also brings a deepened sense of self and the slower movements helps us to stop and appreciate all the things that we missed by going to fast in our youth. 🌹🥀💐
Intuitive Messages: Back Porch Chat
How do you experience intuitive messages? A gut feeling? A spidey sense? A specific forewarning? A voice or vision? I woke up this morning feeling nervous for no particular reason I could pinpoint. I just felt off and anxious. Half an hour later while drinking my coffee, I realized my husband had an unpleasant task to take care of this morning involving my family that I had totally forgotten about. A couple of hours later, I had a very unpleasant and distressing conversation totally out of the blue. Ugh. Knocked me sideways. Now I know what my system was warning me about. I sure hope that's it for the day. I'm happy I've connected the dots for sure and now I can let the feeling go, but Sheesh!

Mine is more of a spidey sense with a foreboding overlay. I get both gut and mind hits. My stomach will get upset and I will have a random thought like “go a different route” or “call your kids”. I have learned to not be aggregated when something slows me down. I know now it is my guides making sure that I get where I am going safely. Red lights, forgot something and had to go back home, slow drivers, ect.

@Zsuzsana Dawson I totally agree that women are more in tune to feelings than men and we articulate those sensations. I have found that my husband is very intuitive but his explanation is “I don’t like that person”, or “Nope, I am not going there” and really does not communicate what he is actually sensing. He just follows it and I am over here analyzing it LOL
Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
I've seen the word millionaire a couple of times lately and it got me thinking. Do you want to be a millionaire? What would it mean to you if you were? What does money mean to you? Freedom? Security? Something else? What would you do if you were a millionaire? Maybe we should say billionaire because a million isn't that much these day LOL. I rarely think about money myself other than in budgeting, but if I had a windfall, oh, what joy it would be to spread it around...🤗

@Zsuzsana Dawson you are so right! I have thought about those for about 5 years. I was working on buying land for the tiny home community when our land and housing market shot sky high. It is still high but the plan is still in the works. I am a mental health counselor and I work mostly with Domestic violence clients. We have a housing shortage and what is available is stupid expensive. My most vulnerable age bracket is 50 plus women. They have no resources. The younger people who have kids come first for help. They are not old enough to draw their retirement but most are not physically able to work a full time job due to DV injuries so they end up at shelters, on the street or back with their abuser. It is a sad part of our world and is my passion to change. ☹️ Thank you for the angel ❤️ Much love.

@Zsuzsana Dawson thank you very much for your kind words. I am very glad that you created this spot to gather and share life and to meet wonderful people. I love the new category. I know it will be a wonderful addition. I do ask my guides for help when I can’t seem to make something happen. I just now realized that I don’t ask them for help daily and I stopped to contemplate why I don’t. I think it goes back to the idea of not asking for help until I have done every thing I can possibly do first. I am sure that I learned that early in life and it was taught to foster independence. I know my guides are laughing (I can hear them) as I type this out. I know they don’t follow the human Idea of independence and that I need to ask them to help before they can help……maybe that is my lesson to learn. This conversation has been a “light bulb” moment. I am very sure I can come up with a long list of things that I need help with LOL.
