Mortgage rate
I got my pre approval letter in January 2026 and the fixed rate was 3.73 for 25 years. But today when I applied for mortgage approval they told me the fixed rate is 3.88 ( soctia bank). Isn’t the pre approval rate is locked for 4 months? What is the current fixed mortgage rate in Winnipeg? Should I go to different bank and try to find a better rate?

preapproval rates are generally higher than what you would eventually get. Especially with the war, almost every bank will do this to ensure they don’t lose money if the bond yields go up

Mortage in province like novascotia
Hi Nav, i was just curios to ask, do you and your team works in novascotia province too mortage, house hunting, realtors etc with specialization on local market?
