📍 Tip #1 - Use words your ideal member would actually search for
This post is part of my Skool Discovery & Growth Boost Tips Series. My goal is simple - help Skool group owners get found, earn more clicks, and turn more visitors into members. -- A Skool About Page can look polished... ...and still leave a new visitor wondering: Who is this for? What will it help me achieve? Words like growth, freedom, success, transformation, and community are not wrong. They are simply too broad on their own. Try using the plain words your ideal member would naturally use to describe: 👤 Who they are 🎯 What they want 🧭 How your community helps them For example: ❌ A supportive community helping creators grow and build freedom online. ✅ Educational creators: Build and monetize your Skool community without relying on paid ads. The second version is not more creative. It is simply easier to understand. That gives visitors - and Skool - clearer context about who the community is for and why it may be relevant. Quick self-check: - What would your ideal member type into Skool search when looking for help? - Can they find those words naturally in your Group Description and the opening lines of your About Page? Getting found is only the first step. Your About Page still needs to give the right visitor a clear reason to join. -- 🐬 Curious how clearly your About Page communicates your offer? 👇 Comment AUDIT and I’ll run a free DFY audit of your About Page copy and visuals. I’ll share your score, the #1 conversion fix I’d make first, and a useful summary here in the thread - so you and other Directory members can learn from the real example too.

👋 Hi everyone! I'm Roberto from Zagreb, Croatia 🇭🇷
I help Skool community owners turn their communities into a consistent source of paying clients using a simple 3C framework: 🔴 Content → 🔵 Conversation → 🟢 Conversion I've been in business and marketing for 30+ years. I've tried plenty of things that didn't work (and a few that did 😄), so these days I keep things simple and focus on what actually moves the needle. One reason I joined The Directory is that I believe good ideas deserve to be seen - and sometimes an outside perspective is exactly what helps sharpen your message. Outside of work, you'll usually find me with my family, sailing the Adriatic, or playing football or basketball with friends. Looking forward to meeting everyone and learning from the conversations here! 🚀

@Tina Alexander I like the positioning here - especially the move from “I have an idea” to “I made my first sale.” A lot of beginners don’t need more information. They need a clear sequence and fewer decisions. The practical, action-first angle is what makes this stand out. 👏

This week I want to know: what do YOU actually want help with right now? So we're opening it up — bring whatever you're working on (within the usual game rules) and let's get it some eyes. 🎯 Your one-liner / elevator pitch 🖼️ Your graphic — banner, thumbnail, profile pic, whatever 📢 Your CTA 📝 Your About page text 🪧 A billboard/visual 🤷 Something else entirely — tell us in the comments 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 (same rules, more freedom): Drop what you're working on and what kind of feedback you want on it. Then go give feedback on a few others using the light system: 🔴 Needs work — vague, doesn't land, missing the hook 🟡 Getting there — good bones, but something's holding it back 🟢 GREEN LIGHT — this is clear and ready to go Give feedback before you ask for it — the best rounds are the ones where everyone's playing both sides. 🏆 And there's always a winner! Whoever gives the most valuable feedback this weekend gets a 24-hour pinned post. Not the flashiest pitch. Not the prettiest graphic. The person who shows up and actually helps others wins. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴. Also... quick poll for me 👇 I want to tailor future rounds to what's actually tripping people up, so vote below: "I'm here for ___" Whatever wins, that's likely our next themed round. Let's see what this crew needs most! Who's getting the green light this weekend?! 🚦
