Self Intro
Howdy, everyone. I figgured I might as well introduce myself here. Name’s Nate and I’m 35. I’m a husband and father. My wife and I are a blended family. We have 8 kids (4 boys and 4 girls) lol. I’m the oldest of 9 kids so big families isn’t something new for me haha. At this point I’m what the German’s would call a “Hausmann” ie a stay at home Dad haha. My wife owns/operates a MedSpa here in central TX and as a SAHD I would like to use these AI skills to either help/grow her biz or other biz owners. Not entirely sure what I want to build 100% Anyways, I stumbled into this community via Jake VanClief and his community CliefNotes. I’ve become more interested in AI post my exodus from the Army (served 10 years) in 2024 but never really knew where to start or who to trust. Everyone seems to be a grifter/guru nowadays. It wasn’t until I stumbled across Jake’s community that the idea of ICM and folders and files “clicked” with me. Simple enough, right? But it wasn’t until I stumbled onto Rymac and his content that it clicked even more. I am no expert; and honestly, I am still learning. I haven’t built anything yet. My biggest character flaw up to this point has been procrastination by constantly educating myself. I think this is due to being a perfectionist but I need to hold myself to the fire and get burnt and build and make mistakes instead of constantly “learning”. All that to say, I just wanted to introduce myself and I’m happy to be a part of this community! This intro is my way of wanting to hold myself accountable to this group and I look forward to getting to know people here!

@Glen Hutsell Thabks! And yes, it’s a full time job but rewarding! I’ll have to ask her but I’m right now working on her website and a couple other websites to kinda get my feet wet and break things so I can learn. Thanks for your comment! What are you currently building if you don’t mind sharing? And if you had one tip for a beginner what would it be that you wish you had learned sooner than later?

"Is My Site Live?" (Dad Update)
I was on a call with @Carlos Acuna working through some stuff with him and my dad called and opened with: "Is my site live?" I was confused because his site went live right at 2 months ago and I had explained that "I built it to convert and it will get found in the search engines and should be converting around 60 days from now..." The confusion came in because they have been knit-picking at version 2 on a vercel link... So I aggravatedly said, "yes, it's creeping up the search engines, why?" "Well, we had an e-mail from a booking we missed at noon", he goes on to explain. So, I asked Fred to look into it...and sure a shit: October, 18th and October 22nd - 2 self bookings for his mobile notary business. They came from Google. Back in August, I turned on my camera, and I built my Dad's site and helped him launch his business from scratch. Here is the post where I said I was going to launch it: -> https://www.skool.com/buildmarketclose/my-dad-called-me-today-slightly-frantic?p=37dd353d Part of that gameplan was him networking around the area (which came from Fred's research), so he wasn't relying on search traffic. I built a site with blog post, the same way I launched the car shop's site, and I told him it would be about 60 days give or take before you start getting found on Google. It took exactly 60 days from August 19th launch to October 18th self booking. I freakin' nailed it, I've been doing it long enough ... I can usually call my shots. By the way, everyone that is in premium and VIP has access to that business launch in the classroom here if you haven't went through that course yet. SO... He messed up his first 2 real bookings 🤣😭... BUT... It just goes to show you that I used free resources and a well built site designed to convert bookings and be read by search engines in just a few hours of "work"...

@Ry Mac I never saw a fat marine once during my 10 years in the army. All you guys were squared away. Even during covid. Everyone had matching masks. Army was a shitstorm haha

Damn, I knew I should have been a marine. I would have thrived in that environment haha
There's no such thing as a dumb question but...
There is such a thing as questions masquerading as an excuse to not "do". I will always answer questions from people if I have the answer, if I don't I will simply say "I dunno"...and try to point you in the right direction. But here's the thing about questions: They can trick you into thinking you need an answer before you do something. I've trained 1,000s of people over the decades (sales, marketing, building, scaling, etc) and 1 of the biggest things I've seen holding people back is letting questions not being answered give them an excuse not to move forward. Don't let this happen to you. You'd be surprised how many "questions" you will answer yourself by just doing. Don't get stuck in perpetual questioning, instead, get into the habit doing things so that you have better questions that you need to answer. Don't let perfection be the enemy of progress. Just Nike the stuff and see what happens. Always got your back, RyMac
