If your family is counting on Parent PLUS Loans… heads up: new federal caps start July 1, 2026. Translation: many families won’t be able to “borrow the whole gap” the way they used to. What we know so far (for many borrowers): Parent PLUS may be capped at $20,000/year per student and $65,000 lifetime per child. 4 quick moves to prep NOW: 1) Run your “gap” number: Cost of Attendance – grants – scholarships – savings. 2) Call the financial aid office and ask: “What’s my projected out-of-pocket for 2026–27?” 3) Build a scholarship stack (small awards add up fast). Set a weekly application hour. 4) Create a backup plan: payment plan, cheaper housing/meal options, transfer pathways, employer tuition help. Families who plan early stress less later. Ever wonder if your college choices are actually costing you more than they should? Texas students, before you grab that diploma, let’s talk about the mistakes that can tank your wallet or slow down your future career: • Picking a major just because someone else said it’s “safe.” • Ignoring scholarships and grants because the hunt seems hard. • Taking out HUGE loans without a real plan for paying them back. • Skipping real-world experience (internships, gigs) while in school. • Choosing a school for its name: not for its value or fit. Here’s the truth: Your education should fuel your success, not keep you stressed about debt or stuck after graduation. 💡 What’s ONE thing you wish you’d known before enrolling? Drop your story, win some advice, and let’s help each other make smarter moves! #TexasCollegeStrong #InvestSmart 👇 Sound off in the comments( sharing = helping!)

But is it a real game-changer… or just another government program with strings attached? Here’s what’s new: - Covers 8–15 week programs for in-demand careers - Open to adults, career-changers, even those with bachelor’s degrees - Designed for stackable credentials: build your skills, land jobs, keep learning Is this the solution we’ve been waiting for to make education more practical and affordable? Or do you see any gaps or concerns? 👇 Drop your thoughts: Excited or skeptical? Who do you think benefits most? Let’s talk! #CareerSuccess #DebtFreeEducation #SparkEDCommunity
