Earlier today I experienced this first hand, just confirming that I need to become the one who can! A few weeks back I mentioned a specific retail store currently for sale, to someone I see as successful in business, someone much younger than myself. I expressed that I would love to buy the store, but would need to negotiate seller finance in order to do so. This morning the same person came to purchase a few items at my place of work, and as always we start chatting and he told me that he went to the owner of that store the same day I told him about it, and negotiations are basically done, he is in the process of buying this store. Naturally I needed to hide my utter disappointment, and the only words I could find in reply was: Those who can, will, and those who can't, will only be able to speak of it. As much as it hurt to hear the news, I knew that he is in a much better position to go through with this and must say I have gotten used to being the one with the idea or plan, but not the one who can act and make it a reality. Before joining the I AM community, this would be just another piece of confirmation that I will always be and remain the one who can only speak of it. But today this has just cemented my motivation to improve, to upskill, to learn and to become the one who can, and WILL!
