Hey Synthesizers! I’m looking for a video storyteller who becomes a co-creator with me. Someone who will be brainstorming, shooting, and editing with me. We’re currently at 500,000 subscribers and we want to take over the personal growth space on YouTube by building a thriving community that moves mountains. (This is a bit of a "needle in a haystack" we’re looking for, so we’re paying a $5,000 referral fee if you end up referring the person we end up hiring long-term.) Anyone come to mind? They don’t have to have all the skills yet because I will teach them everything. We will learn alongside each other. But they do have to have a deep passion & natural talent for storytelling, be insanely hungry to a level that is intimidating, and be very hardworking. This is a full-time, all-in position for someone who wants to be part of something bigger than themselves and, in the process, become someone who is undeniable. This position is not for the faint of heart. It’s very hardcore. They’re going to be working with me here in Austin, TX, learn everything, be plugged into the creator economy, surrounded by creators, in a fast-paced startup environment with a lot of pressure and long hours. But all the struggle will be worth it 10x over. They must be able to relocate to Austin and legally work in the US. If you know someone who might be a fit, send them this post and you could get an easy $5,000 referral fee if they get hired long-term. All details are here: https://thedrvn.co/video-storyteller-apply-here Who are two people that come to mind for you?

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity @Leon Hendrix . I'll going to hunt someone in my network & send that individual your way!
In this post I want to: 1. Share an opportunity to work with me and the team in a free 90-day "specific knowledge" bootcamp 2. Reveal what I've been working on and why I've been inactive in the community PART 1: WHAT I'VE BEEN WORKING ON After I "retired", I got bored. Humans are built to work. So I knew I needed to find my next project. But in a world of unlimited opportunities, it was hard to orient myself. Until I hear this piece of advice - Go where you are needed You should always go where you can help the most, in the least amount of time. That's where you're needed most. After growing my YouTube to 600,000+ subs and making $1,000,000, it was clear I had two skillsets: 1. Audience growth 2. Audience monetization So I was needed in two places: 1. Helping Consultants grow on YouTube 2. Helping YouTubers monetize One group has monetization, but needs an audience. The other group has an audience, but needs monetization. Unsure which to go with, I picked the first one. The main person I worked with was a Consultant called Rian Doris. He bought Consulting.com from Sam Ovens, and runs FlowResearchCollective.com. I helped him define his YouTube strategy, built a team of A-Players who would execute on the strategy, and led them towards making videos. What happened next? Well, the channel blew up. - 940,000 views on Video #1 (on a channel with 0 subs) - 60,000 subs just 4 months later So that was it. I knew what I was going to focus on for the next 3-5 years. I was going to be the 'audience growth' guy. Until... My YouTuber friend Hamza reached out and asked me how he should monetize his channel. So I sent him a simple Loom outlining everything I'd do if I were him.

This is awesome @Andrew Kirby . And what an opportunity to learn the best in the business. When's the last date for submission?
Mr. Hormozi's in need of video editors. Here's the link: https://www.acquisition.com/careers/job/8204312470

This is a message for Consultants. Specifically someone who sells coaching or a course to help people solve their problems. In 2022 I: - Spent two days in LA with Sam Ovens (on track to become billionaire) - Spoke with Alex Hormozi ($200m/year portfolio) - Spoke (and worked) with MrBeast (130m subscribers) - Spoke with Cole Gordon ($2,000,000/month) - Met Bas Slot in Lisbon twice ($1,000,000/month) My conclusion after all of this was simple: This industry is changing… The smartest people have noticed, and are already taking advantage of this shift. Everyone else will be left behind. Watch these clips (5-10 mins) to spot the shift. - Clip from Sam Ovens - Tweet from Alex Hormozi - Another tweet from Alex Hormozi - Clip from Cole Gordon (making $2m/m+) - Clip from All In Podcast (all four are Billionaires) - Clip from Alex Hormozi Watch those clips before reading on. They're short. Here's how I see things changing: - Direct Response → Brand - Ads → Content - Selling → Giving And to me, this is a GREAT SHIFT. Thank fuck this industry is FINALLY maturing. It's no longer enough to have flashy marketing and great sales skills. You have to build a brand. Over the past few months I’ve hinted at this shift quite a few times, and how I've used it to make $100,000/month profit (and sometimes even $90,000 in a day). I've made a: - 33 minute Loom video explaining this new model - 21 minute Loom video explaining how I got 600,000 subscribers using this model - Free course explaining how to build a great community - Loom video I sent to Alex Hormozi about using trends to grow an audience when he asked me to help him grow his YouTube - Notion page explaining the lessons I learned about YouTube growth from speaking with MrBeast - Google Doc explaining the content system that grows your audience in just two hours per week

@Paul Gray baik! The Indian side (I prefer not to take sides 😅) I am not into curry these days. My tummy can't handle it anymore 😭. But yeah, a nice meal of curry once in a while
Today's call will be 2 hours early. If you don't know what I am talking about... Accountability call is 1h per week where people who want to create content hold each other accountable and share ideas We have been running them for about 1.5 years now we don't plan to stop anytime soon. The only reason for change is because I would have to wake up at 1AM for it. I can do it. But my performance as a host would be affected. Put emoji in the comments if you are planning to attend!

Is the next one in half hour or 1 1/2 hours?
I've done video editing for Andrew Kirby, Anna Rova and many others, including a brief job with Leon Hendrix. I did a lot of great work when editing for them, however, eventually each of them would decide to change the focus of their business, which would ultimately lead to the end of our working arrangment. I'm currently looking to work with a YouTuber/YouTube channel on a full-time basis as a - Video editor - Content/growth strategist - Channel manager - Assistant creator - Or any and all of the above! Over the next year (Starting this September) I'm looking to go ALL-IN on someone's channel and work full-time to help them skyrocket their channel and business. If you or someone you know is a YouTuber looking for help growing their channel and business please drop me a message or leave a comment on this post. Also, I've recently had a long-form video on my personal channel cross 100k views and I learnt something very interesting from it. Watch the video below for the lessons. Hope you guys find it helpful, thanks for taking the time to read/watch!

Hey Synthesizers, One of my YouTube videos got over 12k views. I talked about how to organize your life and a lot of people loved it. So decided to distill it into the most concise form to give you lots of value in less time. (3min read) You don't need to comment a "word" to access it. Here you go: 1/ Organize Your Mind: Before organizing your life, create order in your mind. What is taking up space in your mind? Write it down in a notebook. 2/ Clarify Your Priorities What are the highest priorities in your life? Mine are: - Faith - Health - Wisdom - Career Define what you value the most. This will direct your focus. 3/ Set Clear Goals Define your goals in: - 3 years - 1 year - 90 days - 30 days Example: - $1 million profit with my online business by 31.December 2026 - $100’000 profit by 31. December 2024 - $10’000 profit by 31. March 2024 - $1’000 profit by 31. January 2024 4/ Prepare For Obstacles Life will throw challenges at you, this is inevitable. Ask yourself: “What potential obstacles could I face?” Brainstorm potential obstacles. Be preemptive and strategize how you will overcome them. 5/ Define who you need to become The most effective strategy to achieve your goals is to change your identity. Ask yourself: “What kind of person do I need to become to effortlessly achieve my goals?” Define your new: - Beliefs - Habits - Traits 6/ Time Allocation Identify your highest priority tasks. Ask yourself each day: “What's the one thing I can do to make everything else easier in achieving my goals?” Block out 3 hours in your calendar and do the main thing without distractions. Inspiration: The book "The One Thing" by Gary Keller. 7/ Optimize Your Energy Dial in your foundations for a high-energy life. - Good sleep - Clean diet - Daily exercise - Clear purpose - Good people These are the 80/20 of optimal energy, the rest is non-essential. 8/ Optimize Your Physical Environment Evaluate your physical environment.

@Hamzah Salim when growth feels stagnant, I take a couple of days or weeks to look at my goals and see how far I've come. So it means putting most of the tasks on hold & fix issues I am facing. Now I've realized this needs to be done half yearly for starters. Wish I did it sooner!

Insane achievement @Brandon D'Eon. Keep on killin' it!
If anyone can spare a moment or finds it intriguing, I invite you to engage in a thought experiment with me. Let's explore the notion that self-improvement may not always be as valuable as it's often made out to be. I'm going to create a video based on the most compelling argument I receive. I think it's essential to break free from echo chambers, even if it means challenging our own firmly held beliefs. Convince me that pursuing anything other than hedonistic pleasures and instant gratification is ultimately futile. (I encourage you to embark on this exercise if you, like me, have found yourself caught in your own mental echo chamber or surrounded by like-minded individuals.)

There's no definitive way to self-improvement like how the 'gurus' suggest to be. Everyone has their own unique roadmap. Mr. Beast found his calling by studying YT like crazy for a decade. Goggins found his, by pushing his body to the limits. Each of them may call the other one crazy.
@John Wick The power of identifying purpose. This is in response to your video comment about the black pill and how the world is unfair ,etc.

To summarize what @Paul Masters said: Build solutions your younger self wished he had. There's always someone out there where you were. You know how to get them to where you are today. That's purpose. It starts within and magnifies by helping others. (I hope Paul agrees that I'm right.)
Hey gang - I know this is super-random (and I hope it's fine posting here as it should help other Synthesizers?)... I wonder if any of you have the same challenge, and/or if you think you might know or be the solution. My businesses are 100% online. I leverage tech, I love what it enables. Obviously I particularly love Skool, and anything that Sam touches...! But being behind a screen for even a slightly long amount of time kills my mind, energy & soul. I'm not a technical-moron...but I am very much an Analogue dude. Paper, notes, sketching quick diagrams..prefering in-person meetings, presenting to people at scale.. I've successfully grown my value-offerings & businesses in spite of this. And someone told me "You need a 'Digital Twin' " - someone to shadow, or enable, or partner to work with, and amplify/multiply output. 📝 My value/Zone of Genius = ideation, coaching, connecting, building partnerships, presenting to large audiences, brainstorming, creating content & more… 💻 Your value/Zone of Genius = execution, building systems, automations, growth hacking, productivity, integrations, building campaigns, creating useable frameworks & more… You do all this sh*t for fun! And you're really good at it. Can any of you resonate? And have any of you found someone like this? If so - how did you find them? How do you work best together? Are you my Digital Twin? If so - let's connect, maybe we're a perfect match. Any thoughts, guidance, ideas, offers, DMs, tags...all very welcome 🙏

Hey everybody, With skool payment's coming i'm looking build long term community. Which body transformation program name would you be most drawn to and why? I currently use Fat Loss Accelerator and focus for weight loss however i'm thinking The Phoenix Transformation implies more of an overall reinvention / transformation although it is less clear on the target market. Plus the fact it has my own name in it is good for personal branding (not that the market cares) What do you think is best and what is your own fitness goal so i have perspective. Thanks Paul

Congratulations for running your community @Paul Phoenix . Like others have suggested, intertwine both to name the product.
Aziz from Lookin' Fresh has 8 videos of 3-4 minutes of value-packed self-improvement content and already 112K subs. Here's my hypothesis how he did it. 1. Clear value proposition in the timbnails which are pretty consistent. They show the idols of his target audience and a message he wants to share. 2. No BS guides just as he promises. Lots of value in little time. 3. High-quality editing 4. And finally, he has an affiliate link to the Amazon shop with the products that helped him. The guy is a true synthesizer who's solved his own problem and now helps people do the same. Probably he could've created a community, but he preferred affiliate marketing which seems to be less time-consuming. Your thoughts?

This is insane @Andrew Kirby! You've outdone yourself this time.
Personally, I use a website blocker to block distracting sites, Chrome extensions to make Youtube less distracting by removing suggestions, trending tab, and shorts tab, and screen time limits to encourage me to get work done in the time it needs to get done Interested in what others use to stay focused whether it is a strategy or applications like these I've shared!

@Hamzah Salim absolutely. Don't rely on 'tools' just so you can be productive. Best course of action is to remove dumb shit that can cause distractions. Messy room, incomplete tasks, chores. All if these will keep your mind occupied. Finish them up the day before. Set an intention the night before. > What you look forward to tomorrow? > What you plan to avoid doing tomorrow? Hope this helps @Declan Yasick
I'm a video editor, and realized, that when it comes to synthesizing, a lot of you guys struggle with editing, so I made a free course, that will teach you to do simple but effective editing! 1. Introduction 2. Boring parts/dead space 3. Subtitles 4. Graphics 5. Sounds (note: loom doesn't record the sounds of the video I was editing, here is the full video)

You're the OG synthesizer @Benedek Santa . Keep on growing G. So many good things coming your way.
My goal for this video was just to beat the previous one. At approx 2.7k views. And it ended up doing a lot better than I expected. Not too long ago, I didn't believe I could do well on YouTube but thankfully this video has busted that belief. And I can see that 1m views is now achievable. The biggest things I learnt from this video: - To spend more time on the topic/and concept before anything else. If I can verbally say it and see interest on peoples faces, then it's got potential. - Only when the topic is interesting, unique and/or trending, I should develop the thumbnail - Make several rough thumbnail drafts and get feedback, before tweaking 2-3 final thumbnails - Once the thumbnail and title looks clickable and interesting compared to other videos in that same category/topic, I should then work on the script and contents - Use more B roll to 'show' my points / message. - Less text on screen. - Avoid jargon or technical talk to keep viewers engaged. - Have a back up thumbnail ready to swap in if the performance isn't going well.

Great mindset you've instilled on Hamza! 1 thing I've learned is this, and maybe some of you will hate me for this: Making money doesn't make the poor poorer Not making money isn't going to make the poor richer Do your best to provide those in need. But have selfish desires so you can provide your family the life they deserve.
I’ve mentioned previously on a Skool about the fact that,”you probably shouldn’t worry about doings things perfectly” in your business… but I don’t know now. Yesterday I saw a tweet from Mr. Hormozi saying,”give everything away for free… and you’ll generate leads forever” or something… So I ask you, yes you. What’s your opinion on the fact that there are SOO many different ways of “behaving” in business? Ways of doing things. Because many conflict each other. A response would GENUINELY be much appreciated - coming from someone who’s already an over thinker. Riley.

Most importantly, Be authentic & relatable. There's no definive way to go about things. Learn ➡️ Apply ➡️ Improve
Making money through content creation is possible. But it's hard, and takes a long-time. If you're a beginner content creator, you know this more than anyone else. When I was in that stage I was constantly worrying I'd never make it. I questioned whether I was good enough. And it's tough to stay consistent when you're not seeing results. There are two groups of people in this community: 1. The big boys. Established creators/consultants/entrepreneurs making good money 2. The beginners. People who, no matter how hard they try, aren't seeing the results they want This message is for the second group. There's many people in this community that want to make a living in the creator economy, but are struggling because of how tough it is. I've been thinking about this for a while. But the thought came to the surface again when I watched @Ali Abdaal's last video. Ali was asked "Do you recommend being a creator as a career path?" His response: "Hell no." (For context, Ali has 2,000+ customers for his Part-Time YouTuber Academy, so I trust his answer.) Now, I know what you're thinking... "Fuck." But please, please don't think this way. There's a light at the end of the tunnel. In fact, there's a light at either end of the tunnel. LIGHT ONE: Just keep going Read the first sentence of this post again. Just because succeeding is hard and takes a long time, doesn't mean it's not possible. And once you make it, it's all worth it. Quitting shouldn’t be an option. LIGHT TWO: Earn to learn There’s a great article called the Ladders of Wealth Creation (see image attached). It explains there are four ladders to wealth creation: 1. Time for money 2. Service business 3. Productized services 4. Selling products It explains that “the potential earnings increase the higher up each ladder you climb. But the difficulty increases with each move as well.” Selling products, productized services, or starting your own service business is possible. But it’s hard, and it takes a long time.

@Andrew Kirby creating an army of achievers for real!
Yesterday I made a post sharing the 5 lessons I learned from a $500m mastermind. This morning I revealed that someone actually took notes of all public conversations during the mastermind, which turned out to be 13,000+ words. And I said that, if 100 people wanted it, I'd release the full transcript for free. Well, less than 12 hours later, we did it. Ladies and gentlemen, here it is: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AyeYqnJZcJN_fCA-RSnqjttfAfXnr10CceW-BOgkn5s/edit?usp=sharing Enjoy.

You're a G @Andrew Kirby !
Hey, Synthesizers! 👋🏼 I hope you're all splendid! I know there are a lot of pasty-white keyboard-kids in here (massive compliment by the way 😘)... So don't get too excited when you see the pics. But my wife and I have ALWAYS been huge on bringing people to our home when we do work with them. We feel this to be the best way to solidify relationships and authentically show we are also the people they expect us to be... face pulling weirdos by the looks of these pictures 😂 Anyhoo... It was REALLY exciting to have @João Dias over to stay with us for a few days 🙏🏻 He got to meet a small portion of our UK clients and celebrate one of many wedding anniversary parties at our home 💚 A lot of people talk a semi-decent good talk - but having people in your home, eating with you, your kids, friends and neighbours exposes you to a different level... A level that most will NEVER go. Why? Because they're full of BS. So, overall, it was nice to introduce @João Dias to that depth of personal exposure... And boy did he grow from it 😉 Here's to more meetups (sleepovers) ⚡️

Can't believe this thread's been here since 22' I am a self-improvement coach. Here are my questions G: 1. What roadmap do you use when creating a product for monetization? 2. Could you share examples of authority building content? 3. Are outreach dms on LinkedIn worth it? Big Up @Paul Masters ! Appreciate you taking your time answering questions.
I just had a career defining moment. So stoked and honored to be featured in the Colin and Samir newsletter. I worked all weekend talking with SAG to get all the information over to Hannah, their lead writer. Hopefully this is helpful and if you guys have any questions please let me know. I would love creators to realize that there is a real benefit to joining SAG and also if you want to join SAG, make sure you’re not doing anything during the strike that could jeopardize your ability to join later. Contact me at my website if you want to connect or have questions. I have room probably for 2-3 more clients, then I will be maxed out. https://www.tylerchoulaw.com https://news.thepublishpress.com/p/hollywood-strike-mean?utm_source=news.thepublishpress.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=what-does-the-hollywood-strike-mean-for-you

Woot woot! This is just the beginning @Tyler Chou !
Hey guys my name is Dane Nelson Aka Dane Visuals and I'm a content creator from Jamaica who's been doing videography for over 8 years. I now make youtube videos teaching people how to fly their drones and I plan to eventually move over into general camera tutorials and cinematic videos. Originally my primary focus was making content for medium and small-sized businesses as well as for corporate and major brands and I was able to open up a lot of opportunities for myself but over time I started feeling very unfulfilled with the industry, clients weren't giving me much creative freedom, I felt stressed out from constantly having to haggle for fair compensation and the industry felt very time-consuming and unappreciative, whenever I did a project it had no long term sustenance, I had to immediately start thinking about the next project, there was no security and I had always had a dream of traveling the world but whenever I was able to travel for a bit, I would go into a panic as I would make no money while away from my home. I realized that I was building other persons brand but not making any time for my own, as someone who had already amassed years' worth of experience with videography and photography I decided to turn to Youtube as a way to build my personal brand and create long term sustenance so that I could earn wherever I was. Youtube was my original teacher, I had no formal education in photography or videography I learnt everything through Youtube and a few creators who I hold very dearly. I started shooting content for myself in 2017 and I was met with a rude awakening, shooting yourself is hard, as an entrepreneur whenever I take on a client project I give it a 100% but it is very hard sometimes to put that same level of energy into a personal project as there is no one over you but yourself, I also learnt that even if I made visually stunning videos it did not guarantee views, I was hurt many times when I saw persons get more views than me even though I thought I had better videos (sadly this wasn't the case), it was a very humbling experience as you would think it would be easy for a videography to blow up on Youtube but trust me it's more than just making visually appealing videos fast forward many years of inconsistent efforts and I now have around 1700 subscriberS and I am monetized but thank god I was able to take lessons from a few creators that helped change my perspectives I was lucky to take part in creator now with Airack and I also did a Cohort with Jake Thomas a youtube title master. So the main point of this post is that I love the fact that I'm now in a community of people that have similar goals and stories like mine, let's start working together guys, let's share tips and tricks, and let's share our wins and our losses. I plan to make Youtube my full-time earner next year and I hope to make some friends with the same goals as well. This is my Journey to 10k/mo thread ( Im currently making around $20 lol) where ill share my occasional progress with anyone whos interested and hopefully meet some friends who'd want to attend vid summit with me in October 😁. Also major thanks to @Andrew Kirby for this community man, I stay synthesizing everyday man 🤝
