DAY 1 — LECTURE 1: INTRODUCTION TO AI AUTOMATION The Importance of Automation When we want to grow our business 10x, we cannot keep doing everything manually. We need systems that help us save time, reduce repetitive work, and handle more tasks efficiently. That’s where automation comes in. But before jumping into different tools, the most important thing is to develop the right mindset. First, understand the problem you want to solve. Then, learn how automation and AI can help you solve it. Tools are important, but knowing how and when to use them is even more important. Q1. What Is Automation? Answer: Automation is the process of using technology to perform tasks that would otherwise require human effort. - For example, imagine you receive 100 customer emails every day. Instead of manually sending the same response to every customer, you can set up a system that automatically sends a response whenever a new email arrives. This is called automation. Now, when artificial intelligence (AI) is used to perform or improve that task - such as understanding the customer's message and generating a relevant response - it is called AI automation. In simple words: Automation: Technology performs a task automatically according to predefined rules. AI automation: AI helps a system understand information, make decisions, generate responses, or perform tasks with less manual intervention. Q2. Where Can We Use Automation? Today, automation can be used in almost every industry and in many technical and business-related tasks. For example, we can use automation for customer support, email marketing, data entry, lead generation, appointment scheduling, content creation, and much more. We can broadly understand automation through two approaches: 1. Traditional Automation Traditional automation relies mainly on predefined rules, workflows, and conditions. For example, you can create a workflow that automatically sends a welcome email whenever someone signs up on your website.
