Welcome to Action Potential's Online Community!!!
Welp, it is finally here... For some of you who have been around us for a while, you know it has always been a goal/dream to create a space for online education to help athletes take better care of themselves so they can continue to move/do as much as they want, for as long as they want. This community is our first crack at building that space. And let’s be honest — it won’t be perfect out of the gate. Nothing worth building ever is. But it will be honest, useful, evidence-grounded, and shaped by the questions you throw at us. The more you post, the faster this becomes a living library athletes can actually rely on — a place to crowd out the confusion with clarity. A few questions to get the ball rolling: - What’s the one nagging issue you’ve been ignoring in your training? - What topic do you wish someone would finally explain without the fluff? - When you think about your body 5-10 years from now, what scares you — and what excites you? - What’s the biggest gap between what you want to do in training and what your body currently allows? You have probably heard me say 10000000 times, "there is no right or wrong," so ask anything & say everything cuz, for better or for worse, LORD knows I do. As always, please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns 🙌

Explain without fluff - So I do something and it hurts. Is there a “rule of thumb” I can follow regarding this? Common sense says if it hurts don’t do it but movement sometimes helps. This is a tricky one to answer but it would be nice to know when it’s okay to dial back and let it work itself out over time and when to stop and go have a professional look at it.

My body in 5-10 years - I’m 39 now and workout out with 20 something’s in my class. I am more excited and challenged to see how I can maintain or even still improve my fitness while I age. Scared that I will let that excitement glaze over a nagging injury that in my younger days would have healed overnight and now it’s a problem.
