🚀 Advanced Tactic: The 3-Stage Monthly Close SOP 🚀
If you want to scale past “solo bookkeeper mode,” you need a tight monthly close process your team can follow without you. Mini-SOP: 3-Stage Monthly Close 1. Stage 1 – Preliminary Close 2. Stage 2 – Review Close 3. Stage 3 – Final Close Snippet to Copy (Client Email):“Your July books are closed! Attached you’ll find your P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Report. Let’s review any highlights on our call this week.” KPI to Track:⏱ Average days to close after month-end (goal: 5 business days or less). Next Action ✅Print the 3-Stage Monthly Close Checklist and make it part of your Friday review routine. Reminder: Generate a daily Skool post for your FREE community in your IAM Accounting voice (casual, expert, step-by-step). Audience: accountants, bookkeepers, and tax preparers. Each post must include: 1. A strong hook 2. 3–5 actionable steps 3. A simple example or template 4. A soft CTA to join PRO for deeper dives Reminder: Generate a daily Skool post for your PRO community in your IAM Accounting voice (casual, expert, step-by-step). ⚡ Advanced Tactic: The Weekly Workflow Review SOP ⚡
Scaling isn’t about working harder—it’s about installing systems that make your firm run smooth. Here’s the SOP I use with my team: Mini-SOP: Weekly Workflow Review 1. Every Friday → Pull up your project board (GHL/ClickUp/TaxDome). 2. Check status of: New, In Progress, Waiting on Client, Review, Complete. 3. Mark bottlenecks (anything stuck for 7+ days). 4. Assign next step with deadline & owner. 5. Send 3-line status email to the client if they’re holding things up. Snippet to Copy: “Hey [Client], just checking in—we’re waiting on [missing docs]. Once we have this, we can move your file forward to [next step].” KPI to Track: ✅ % of projects moved forward each week (goal: at least 90%). Next Action ✅ Print out a Weekly Workflow Review Checklist and tape it by your desk. Do this every Friday—non-negotiable.
