When your child makes a mistake…
Do you focus more on punishment or teaching? Both have their place, but sometimes we discipline without helping them understand why the behavior matters. Ask yourself “Did I teach my child something today… or just correct them?” Growth starts with awareness.

lately I have been able to stop and teach before punishing and reacting! I used to react so quick and didn’t make room for teaching but lately God has been so good to me and has been dealing with my mindset to be more understanding on a kids mentality and talk to them like a friend and if consequences need to be given I’ve been following your response from a while ago about discipline and scriptures. It’s going a lot better 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Let’s start this day in prayer together.
Father God, We thank You for the children You have entrusted to us. Give us wisdom today to lead them with patience, love, and discipline. Help us not to parent from anger, fear, or our past wounds but from Your truth. Strengthen our homes. Guard our children’s hearts. Give them courage to love what is right and reject what is wrong. Today we declare: Our homes will be filled with peace. Our children will grow in wisdom and character. Our families will serve the Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen. If you’re standing in agreement for your family today, comment: “My house will serve the Lord.”

My house will serve the Lord!
Let’s be real for a moment.
When your child messes up… Do you usually correct them calmly or do you react emotionally first and then regret it later? Parenting will test your patience like nothing else. Be honest in the comments: Calm correction or emotional reaction?

It’s a mix. Sometimes I can catch myself and be calm and others I react and regret. I apologize to my kids when I’m out of pocket too.
Lord, please let these kids wake up without an attitude this morning!
Lord… Before feet hit the floor and before attitudes try to rise with the sun… Cover this house. Let peace wake up before they do. Guard their moods. Guard my patience. Guard our tone. If frustration tries to show up early, calm it before it speaks. If whining tries to start, replace it with cooperation. If I feel myself getting irritated, slow me down before I react. Father, I don’t want to start this day correcting all morning. Let joy lead. Let obedience flow easier. Let my voice carry authority without yelling. And if attitudes do show up… Give me wisdom, not emotion. Clarity, not chaos. And consequences that teach not just punish. This home belongs to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🧡

Sad I didn’t see this before kids got up but AMEN!! Still read it and believed it out loud in front of my littles!
5 Prayers to Get You Through the Week
When You Feel Overwhelmed Father, slow my mind and steady my heart. When everything feels loud and heavy, remind me that You are not rushing and neither should I. Give me grace for today not next month, not next year just today. When the Kids Are Testing You Lord, help me respond from wisdom, not from wounds. Teach me how to correct without crushing, to lead without yelling, and to discipline with clarity. Let my authority reflect Your heart. When Money Feels Tight God, You are my Provider. When fear tries to whisper lack, remind me that You have already gone before me. Teach me to steward what I have and trust You with what I don’t see yet. When Doubt Creeps In Father, silence every voice that says I’m not enough. Align my thoughts with Your truth. Where insecurity tries to rise, let confidence in You rise higher. When You’re Tired of Being Strong Lord, I don’t always want to be the strong one. Refill me. Strengthen me. Remind me that I am carried even when I feel like I’m carrying everyone else.
