A Single Mom Learning to Walk With Jesus. 🤍
Hi everyone. My name is Milanie. 🤍 I wanted to introduce myself and ask for your prayers. I’ve never been baptized, but it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I’ve been praying and asking God to lead me to a Bible-teaching church where I can continue growing in His Word. I believe He has opened that door because I found a church only about 15 minutes from my home. I’m preparing to call them and have even been looking at baptism robes for me and my two children. I’m really excited about taking this next step in my walk with Christ. Right now, I’m on day two of a three-day fast from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. During this fast, I’ve been reading the book of Matthew, praying, studying Scriptures I don’t understand, and spending intentional time with the Lord. I even wrote Him a letter, pouring out my heart and asking Him to heal the broken places inside of me. I have to be honest though. I don’t feel like I’ve heard God speak to me yet. Sometimes I wonder if I’m doing something wrong. I keep seeking Him because His Word says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find.” So I’m continuing to seek Him. I’m also a single mom of two beautiful children. My son has Type 1 diabetes, and my daughter was born extremely premature. She’s four years old now and is still catching up developmentally. They keep me very busy. Last night I was up late working on my business, so I accidentally overslept this morning. I still prayed before my fast, I still completed my fast, and I still made time to read God’s Word because I truly want to know Him more. My heart has been through a lot. I’ve experienced a lot of heartbreak from my children’s father, and I’m asking God to heal every broken place in me. I don’t want to carry pain into my future. I want to become the woman God has called me to be. My family is very dysfunctional, and that has been difficult. There is a lot of conflict, and I’ve had to create healthy boundaries. I still pray for every one of them, and I ask God to bless them. My desire isn’t to be better than anyone. My desire is simply to do things differently and allow God to break the generational cycles in my family through me.

I want and need deliverance
I just want to be delivered from homosexuality! I want God to truly set me free. I have turned away from my wickedness. I know God is my savior and I trust him ! I can see that he is changing me . I just want the attraction of men to be taken away . I’m not having sex any more and I’m not masturbating and I’m not watching porn ! I’m reading my Word more & more . I have stopped drinking and going out. I just can’t wait to see the man God will make me!

Why is it when you are getting in your word you become sleepy? And why it seems like stuff out of nowhere start trying to get your attention?

I truly believe that when you start getting serious about your relationship with Christ, the enemy doesn’t like it. He knows that when you begin walking in God’s purpose for your life, you become harder to keep in bondage. That’s why we have to stay watchful. Sometimes distractions come out of nowhere. Sometimes our minds begin to wander. Sometimes we feel spiritually drained or discouraged. The enemy wants anything that will pull our attention away from Jesus. The Bible reminds us that we are in a spiritual battle every single day. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12) That’s why God tells us to put on the whole armor of God. We don’t fight people—we fight by standing in God’s truth, praying, reading His Word, and trusting Him. Ask God to open your spiritual eyes, give you discernment, and help you recognize anything that is trying to pull you away from Him. Stay close to Jesus, because He has already won the victory.
