Need your opinion
Hey everyone, Quick question — when starting out, what’s the smarter move? 1ļøāƒ£ Reach out to potential clients one by one, sometimes even doing free work to build a portfolio OR 2ļøāƒ£ Pay someone a small fee who promises 3–5 client appointments per day. Even landing just one client would cover the cost. He even showed videos of clients getting 10–15 inquiries daily. Option 2 seems like it could save months of hard manual work. But then I see posts here of people offering free services, not sure how well that actually works. I’m just starting, so I’d love feedback from anyone with a couple of years of experience. If you want, I can even share the framework he sent me so you can see exactly what I mean.

@Riad Mahmud Hi, thanks a lot for your advice. I completely agree with your first suggestion. I also understand that not every call will convert, but each one helps me improve my sales, negotiation, and presentation skills. When you have calls lined up daily, it gives you the freedom to choose the right clients and even charge higher rates over time. With consistent calls, building a portfolio becomes natural. The offer is already priced so reasonably that even signing one client would give a positive ROI. On a personal note, I’m not really comfortable posting repeatedly in groups saying I’m offering free websites to build a portfolio, it just doesn’t feel right to me.

@Kasper Kromhout, I discussed this structure with them, and they immediately said no. Which I understand because the price is so low, I have to just close one deal to recover my investment
Skill Vs Sales
I’ve noticed something interesting in this space. Some people aren’t super advanced skill-wise, but they still charge $5k–$10k just for a website. I get that design is subjective, but honestly, that feels like a lot. On the other hand, it shows me how much sales and positioning matter compared to just having skills. So, what do you think matters more when starting, to build top-level skills, or learning how to sell and land clients first?
AI GALA AT THE WINDSOR
AI takes center stage at Windsor Castle When Donald Trump and the world’s top tech CEOs meet under royal chandeliers, you know it’s bigger than pageantry. - Nvidia pledges 120K GPUs for UK supercomputing - Microsoft & others commit multi-billion AI investments - A new US–UK ā€œTech Prosperityā€ pact is born This isn’t just business. It’s AI as geopolitics. The U.S. cements a stronger foothold in Europe, while the UK positions London as an AI hub, promising thousands of high-value jobs. The big question: will this democratize AI innovation, or concentrate its power in fewer hands? #AI #Geopolitics #Innovation #USUKPact #FutureOfWork #Tech #AIEra

@Tirthankar Chakraborty, this is huge. On the one hand, it’s exciting to see AI receiving that level of investment and recognition. On the other hand, I can’t help but wonder, when companies like Nvidia and Microsoft invest billions, does that really open doors for smaller innovators… or just make the ā€œbig guysā€ even harder to compete with? Curious to hear your take, do you think this actually trickles down to startups and creators, or stays concentrated at the top?
šŸ”„ Stop Losing Clients Because of Your Website
Real talk — I just helped a small business owner who was getting traffic but barely any bookings. Their problem wasn’t ads, wasn’t their offer… it was their website.āŒ Slow loading (people bounce before seeing the offer)āŒ No clear booking button (clients didn’t know what to do)āŒ No testimonials (zero trust built) After fixing these 3 things, their calendar started filling up within 2 weeks. I’m curious — how do you feel about your own website right now?šŸ‘‰ Is it bringing you leads consistently, or just sitting there like an online brochure?

@Saviour Aniekan do you also build websites for local biz like contractors, dentists and home services?
Sharing Value With the Community 🌟
One thing I’ve learned in business is that growth happens faster when people share what works instead of keeping everything to themselves. So today, I want to give back a little. Over the past months, I’ve tested and applied a few strategies that helped me improve [conversion rates / client outreach / time management choose your angle], and the results have been consistent. I’m happy to share insights, answer questions, or even point you toward resources that made the biggest difference for me. If even one idea helps someone here move forward faster, then it’s worth it. šŸ™Œ What’s one challenge you’re currently working through in your business? Maybe I (or someone else here) can drop something helpful.

@Ifeyemi Emmanuel Love this mindset, A big challenge I’m curious about is figuring out which tweaks usually give the quickest boost to conversion rates. With so many strategies out there, it’s hard to know where to focus first.
