Approach to model a drone propeller
Hi all! This is my first post in this amazing community :) For a drone project, I modeled a propeller based on an existing 6-inch Gemfan prop for FPV drones made of transparent orange plastic. I used the physical propeller (it's easier to start with the object in my hands) and some pictures I took as a reference. You can see some Visualize renders and download the 2024 SLDPRT and STEP files. I tried a few approaches to get the aerodynamic profile right without going crazy with multiple sketches on reference planes, and I found the easiest (and "cleanest") way was using just four sketches (two of them 3D) and a Boundary Boss/Base feature. Please let me know what you think and if you believe there can be a better approach for this particular object. Thank you!
