When I first started meditating, I found it so stressful! 😩 So I told my therapist that and he said: “Oh good! Now you understand how stressed you actually are. Let’s work on that.” 😳 But seriously, sitting with painful or uncomfortable thoughts can be a challenge to say the least. It is also the most liberating thing you could ever do for yourself. But you want to start small. How Are We MOVING Today?
I've got a LOT on my plate today so when I tried to talk myself out of walking I said "Get behind me Satan! I'm putting on my walking shoes!" 😂 Sometimes we just have to DECLARE what we want and then do it. Anyone else do that? Have to say OUT LOUD what you want to do? Whatever it takes! So I tied up my shoes, popped my earbuds, and set a 10 minute "turnaround" timer and hit the trail! What keeps you from moving more? Is it time? Motivation? Awareness? Let's talk about it! Y'all. I had the BEST sleep night before last! I slept all night! 😲 That is NOT usual for me and I'd say that is my number one weak link in my health journey. So I immediately thought, what did I do?? I went to bed on time. Had a warm shower. Used regular pillows instead of my fancy posturepedic one. I didn't eat too late. And stopped drinking water earlier in the evening. And last night I did none of those things (had to be someplace) and now I'm draaaagging. Do you know what makes or breaks you?
