Take a look at this interesting list of the documentaries that made the most money in cinemas, ever. Which titles you find surprising? Who would you like to see there? Let's discuss.
At least a few of these are IMAX films that had many years of run time to amass such numbers. I don't know how many people under 40 have seen To Fly, but it was one of the first IMAX films to be in theaters. Terrible film. Oh my god is it awful to watch. Purely visual which gets old in a minute and a half. But, if you went to a museum with a CinemaDome or any other large format venue from 1977 to 1990, that was the film you saw. And, at museum prices... Most of these are good, of course. But, it's good to bear in mind that to get these kinds of box office numbers now, you're in The Sphere in Vegas or the like.

@Thomas Jordan Saudi Arabia. It was 2002 and things were still tense after 9/11. But the people, the landscape, the history… I think the actual doc was only ok. Still, that was a mind expander. How about you? Any fun or interesting locations?
