Thursday Cold Calling Tip
Hello team! It's been great to see you all helping one another in the Forum! This week I want to really focus on the Pitch. I still see too many people pitching the benefits and how great our product is. People care about themselves, so make it about them! Framework: We speak to other (job titles) who are struggling with: - Problem 1 - Problem 2 Leading to a (consequence) But you may tell me (complete opposite). This works as you'll leverage social proof, show them you know them by talking about their problems and finally get them to start the conversation with the opposite statement. Updates: 1. You guys can now buy my online course for 269 USD (one time payment) from here. Reminders for everyone: 1. Post your struggles The Forum, and frame them as open questions for more answers. 2. The human brains learn best by discussing or teaching; give your opinion! 3. The more you engage, the more free stuff you’ll get in the Classroom. If you want direct access to me and more personalised coaching, join the Elite Community. Happy dialling! Giulio

Here's my pitch atm: 2a) Identify the Common Problem "…You know how in the logistics industry today, people can get overwhelmed dealing with...[Insert logistics-industry pain points] ...Demanding clients with unrealistic expectations about delivery and transit, which puts the pressure on to really quickly get super-specific quotes from ridiculously-complicated excel data documents under super-tight deadlines, whilst dealing with unavoidable transit delays, or extremely costly data errors. Whilst multiple other customers are knocking down the door for even more quotes or answers you need very specific data in front of you to even answer. At least that’s why our clients say they feel pressure, which is understandable… (Q) “…So does that resonate with your guys experiences as well?” A: Completely understand, 2d) Link back to offer "But to be clear – my job isn’t to sell anything here, Most of our business actually just comes from voluntary word-of-mouth, so all we’re seeking is your permission to work on 100% complimentary customised Data Strategy Report, usually worth 15,000 dollars, specific to your company" And the idea is if you see the value in working with us after that, great! If not, you walk away with a free data-strategy-plan (worth 15k) and valuable, genuinely useful insights from an industry-leading data specialist group…

Way too long this is from complete beginner
Which part is the hardest?
Hello Underdogs, Which part of the cold call do you find the hardest? Here are a few hints: Connect rate: Tech stack or data are the issue. Getting hung up on: Opener or Tone are the issue Not enough conversations: Pitch is the problem Not enough meetings from conversations: Objections Sat rate: You're not going deep enough with the problems. What's your nightmare?

What's killing my confidence right now is: Not fully understand my offer or my clients day to day problems. The complexity comprehensiveness of the offer - a data consulting company - that helps with everything around data.
Is it even possible to make "data" sexy?
I'm just getting started in cold calling for a data company - that does Data consulting And I've got to figure out how to make data sexy And I can't wait to get into it with this groups philosophy However it feels difficult to make it sexy and simple Can we figure it out?

@Steven L. Ah solves your problems - which comes from them feeling you understand their specific "data related pain-points" that consistently happen whenever they deal with data [offer area]. The more pain you can empathize with, the more you bond = the more trust for solution Takeaways from your guys advice: Active listening, active understanding, active empathy.
