Decarbing for Edibles
Before you make a single edible, there is one step you absolutely cannot skip. 🌿✨ Decarboxylation. Because Raw flower does not actually contain THC. It contains THCA, the acidic form that will not give you any intoxicating effects at all. The process of applying gentle heat is what converts THCA into the active THC we actually want for our edibles. Skip this step and your whole batch will be a disappointment. 💚 The good news? It is SO much simpler than the word makes it sound. Here is all you need to know: 🌱THC dominant flower: 240°F for 40 minutes 🌱CBD dominant flower: 240°F for 90 minutes 🌱CBG dominant flower: 220°F for 60 minutes 🌱An oven safe dish with a lid and a timer. That is genuinely it. Once you understand decarbing, everything else about making edibles at home starts to make sense!!!

You should look up the benefits of the acidic cannabinoids though! I have actually completely switched over. No more getting high for me, just straight up relief without.😉 I know it's not for everyone, but for me, it has been a wonderful shift.

Edible -wise though, it definitely limits you to salads, green juices and smoothies and tinctures & raw oils.

Curious, how many of you are also a holistic health/wellness practitioner alongside being a cannabis enthusiast? If so, what kind or what is your specialty?

@Shayla Gray nice! I come from a nursing and clinical massage background myself!
As things grow
As this group grows I’m adding a 5$ monthly fee, small but will cover the cost of time I put into this group, I’ve pulled back the past few weeks bc I’m working on coding to work from home. While I’ve got other goals in life, I’m also not leaving cannabis, in fact I’m looking into making my own brand bc I’m now making my own rso- videos and lessons will be posted!!! I love the cannabis industry and I’m going to remain active in it!!! So I wanted to say thank you to everyone that got us this far and if you stay I promise quality material weekly in the classrooms and here!! Thank you for making this cannamunity what it is and I hope to see you in the future💚🌱💨✨

I love this for you! 👏🏼
Rso
Has anyone made rso? I’m about to have a go at my first batch and I’m so excited- I’ve been waiting for the burner to come so it’s sitting in my freezer… most people say 24 hours but it’s been in there for 2 weeks!! I’m excited about the whole process! I soaked my weed in everclear then strained it. Now that mixture is sitting- next I need to cook off the alcohol and what is left will be RSO!!! my lungs are not getting any better and this seems like the best method for me🥰 Have you used RSO? Have you ever made it?? Would you attempt it??

I have used it (pretty amazing). I would attempt to make it if I legally could in my state. Be sure to finish it in a well-ventilated area to allow the gas and alcohol to dissipate without "collecting". Ideally outside or in a shop/garage with open doors. Let us know how it goes! Also, have you smoked mullien leaf yet? Great way to heal the lungs, ironically.🌿
Box breath
This is one of the oldest breath work techniques that I know, and practice one of the first ones that I ever learned. It’s super simple easy to practice and you can do it absolutely anywhere. It’s sometimes called square breath or tactical breathing. Step 1- Breathe in to the count of 4 Step 2- Hold your breath to the count of 4 Step 3- Breathe out to the count of 4 Step 4- Hold your breath to the count of 4 Repeat this process 4 times🥰🧘🕉️ If you are able to sit and do this practice, you will reframe your nervous system, your thinking, emotion, attitude and whole well-being. let me know if this works for you!! It’s my favorite technique and it’s my go to technique!!

This one is my favorite type of breath work! In fact, I lead my massage school class through this exercise prior to finals and when we cover the nervous system ❤️
