Introductions - I'll go!!!
Kia ora I"m Des, I set this space up for Women who want a safe place to land and heal from heartbreak, break ups, emotional turmoil or who are "going through something in life" menopause, grief or a neurodivergent challenge. In a nutshell you want to come home to yourself again, to feel comfortable and to feel seen. Perhaps you don't know who you are right now, where you are and wtf you are doing? It's ok - I see you. After dealing with many clients in my readings (I do Tarot and Oracle) and coaching, I saw the need to open a space like this to share, learn and come together as a community. We are stronger together. So who am I? I'm an aunty, sister, niece, gym goer, runner, snowboarder, spiritual guide and life coach and best of all a mumma to a vibrant and sassy 8 year old, I had her just before turning 40 years old. I fly solo in my mumma duties - and do you know what? I love it! In a previous life (like donkeys ago in my 20's)... I was a snowboard instructor living in Japan and I've travelled doing back to back seasons chasing the snow and living the dream. Fast forward a few years, I moved to London & hated the cold so decided I may as well do a ski season in France too. After having a little too much fun in London, I moved back to this side of the world and to my family in NZ's sadness, I moved to Sydney, Australia not back to NZ, and just to do something completely different, I did my Bronze Medallion on Bondi Beach (I know right? from snow to sun), that’s because I nearly drowned on Bondi beach, I got caught in a bloody rip 🙄 instead of learning to ocean swim and or navigating how to spot a rip like a normal person would, I took it 10 notches up and became a surf life saver on Bondi - 1 year later. I worked for 3 summers every weekend on Bondi beach and still to this day I’m scared of getting caught in a rip. 🤣 In Sydney, is where I also grew up and found a real job, I became Corporate working lady, it was time to go permanent on “Adulting & Responsibilities” and hang up the snowboard and swap them out for the heels. I took on various Executive Assistant roles, and worked across Banking, Finance, FMCG and Healthcare running busy offices, dealing with demanding CEO's and Executives and learning the art of patience and how best to correct my resting b*tch face to a more softer and kinder face. I'm not sure I ever mastered that last part.
