Who do you choose to be when you’re at your worst? When you’re sick, injured, depressed, etc., who are you? Please understand, this is a choice. Whoever that person is… …is who you really are.
Thank you! That is a very important reminder. C. S. Lewis wrote that we are quick to attribute our best moments to ourselves, and we are quick to blame our worst moments on how tired, or hungry, or stressed we are. But "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." We shouldn't give ourselves excuses for behaving poorly.
