BUT So many times, when somebody asks you a question and you need to use PAST TENSE...what happens?! So somebody asks: “What did you do yesterday?” Easy question, right? But suddenly: “Yesterday…I…uhhh…I go…went…I was…” 😬 What happened?! You KNOW the grammar. But knowing a grammar rule and using it automatically in conversation are two very different things. This is something many English learners misunderstand. They think: “My grammar isn't good enough. I need to study more grammar.” Sometimes, yes. Almost always, no. You already KNOW enough grammar. You haven't USED it enough. Conversation puts grammar under pressure. You don't have 30 seconds to analyze the sentence. Subject… verb… tense… article… preposition… GO! You need to communicate.
