Yello y'alls, did I introduce myself somewheres? Not sure if I did, can't find it if I did. Pls ignore any redundancy. Anyways, (breath) I'm just joining tonight and well I'm a life-time musician, drums and trumpet, and spent 40+ yrs playing in bands, drum corps, and pro. 12 yrs Navy Band until I left and put down the horns; now I'm gettin back to it. Look forward to the group here. I love coffee and music, not necessarily in that order, but usually coffee first. I would love long walks by the lakes but I can't deal with the ice outside. (both types)

BTW I wonder if anyone makes or wants to make a sort-of "jury" sesh where ppls play something and others comment? I did in colly and as I gets better it would be cool to play bits now and then. Jaust asking

Mutes?
I recently got a cornet, and I'd like some opinions on a cup mute. Should I go for the classic Shastock or the Denis Wick adjustable cup? I think the classic sound via Shastock is worth considering but the adjustable cup offers sound options. Pls tell me your thoughts. Not like I need one for any particular gig
