On my way home from the grocery store, I spent 2 solid minutes laughing like an evil villain at a red light. The person next to me just stared and her kid was definitely taking pictures or video! idk who is familiar with Jesse Itzler but he makes the Big A## Calendar and incorporates a Misogi Challenge into his yearly planning. What's a Misogi? its an annual personal goal to complete one extremely difficult, defining task that pushes your limits. When you look back at the year, you can define it and say i did this. Jesse usually does a marathon or something physically challenging, but I recently saw an interview of someone learning the piano as their misogi for the year and instantly felt I should do the same. One of my dad's favorite things in life was music and as I've gotten older I tend to be moved by really good piano. I am not any sort of musician so this will be challenging but my Misogi for 2026 is learning how to play the piano and putting on a show by the end of the year. Think I am going to start with a loog piano but if anyone has any recommendations please let me know!! Curious if anyone else practices a misogi every year or has something big they have planned this year?? and shoutout to @Rositsa Aleksandrova for contributing music and awesome piano playing to the group! definitely played a part with inspiring me to finally learn
