I didn’t expect anything when I first met Joel online.(2021) It started like most of you are starting right now, just a simple message online. No pressure, no big expectations. Just two people getting to know each other. But we kept showing up.We talked, we learned about each other, we stayed consistent. It turned into a long-distance relationship.Different time zones, video calls, messages throughout the day… all the things people say are “too hard”. And yeah, it wasn’t always easy. But it was real. We made the effort. We stayed honest. We built trust without shortcuts. Then we met in person. (2022) And now… we’re living together here in Australia. (Since 2023) ⸻ Why am I sharing this?
