Real talk Monday
How did YOU walk into this week? No filters. This is a safe place. I’ll go first… I walked into this week in pain. Friday I cooked for my cousin’s repast. Stayed up all night Thursday to make sure the food was right. Then got bathed and dressed, and went to sing at the funeral. Then straight to the hall to set up the food on maybe an hour of sleep in two thirty minute intervals. Stayed through the whole repast. Helped serve. Started helping clean up, dishes, wiping tables off. I overexerted myself so bad, I stayed in bed all day Saturday. Sunday I got up, got some deliveries done even through the soreness. And today? I spent my day learning AI and building something I believe in. That’s how I walked into this week. Tired. Sore. Still here. Still building. Your turn…😝

Hey 👋🏼 I walked into this week calm & confident, yet worried! Calm & confident because I’m headed out of the country AGAIN with my daughter. Worried because I’ve been experiencing problems at the job, and I’ve been trying to build two businesses to take into retirement with me. Uhm, I didn’t realize entrepreneurship can be sooooo sloooow 🐢 these businesses to get a move on it 😆

@Roshonda Pittman Exactly!
Good read!! I needed this today!
IF YOU THINK YOU’RE LIFE IS HARD, READ THIS Right now, you may feel tired, stressed, heartbroken, overwhelmed, or disappointed with life. Maybe things are not going the way you hoped. Maybe you are carrying pain nobody fully sees. But somewhere in the world right now… Someone is sleeping hungry. Someone is praying for the health you take for granted. Someone is fighting to stay alive for one more day. Someone has lost the person they loved most. Someone would give everything just to have one peaceful night of sleep. And yet here you are—still breathing, still trying, still surviving... That does not mean your pain is invalid. Your struggles matter too. But sometimes the mind becomes so focused on what is missing that it forgets to notice what is still present. You woke up today. Your heart is still beating. You still have time to change your story. You still have chances, possibilities, people to love, sunsets to witness, memories to create, and healing still waiting for you. Even the Buddha taught that suffering is part of being human. No life is completely free from pain, loss, uncertainty, or difficulty. But suffering becomes heavier when we only focus on darkness and forget the light that still remains around us. The truth is… you are stronger than the version of yourself from years ago. You survived heartbreaks you thought would destroy you. You survived nights you thought would never end. You survived pain you never spoke about out loud. So if life feels hard right now, do not give up too quickly. Some chapters are painful not because your life is ruined… but because life is preparing you to grow in ways comfort never could... One day, you will look back and realize: The moments that nearly broke you also taught you strength, compassion, gratitude, and resilience. Until then… take one breath at a time. One day at a time. And keep going. #buddhism #selfgrowth #mindsetshift

Being an empath comes with consequences of spending a lot of time alone. Space & time have helped me with boundaries.
Wisdom Wednesday💛
One thing nobody told me about surviving a hard season — the shame will try to destroy you before the circumstances do. Whatever you’re going through right now — the bills, the relationship, the health, the fear — you are not behind. You are not a failure. You are a woman in the middle of her story. The middle is not the end. What’s one thing that has helped you keep going when everything felt like too much? Drop it below — someone in here needs your wisdom today.

Introduction
My name is Mimi and my childhood friend Shonda brought me to Unstuck & Growing. I believe in the concept, as I am always growing & healing and enjoy helping others to do the same. The area in life where in stuck is career, I’m so ready to retire but still have a little time. I hope to grow within my new found sisterhood (literally) and improve on enforcing my boundaries from my past life.
