Safety Builds Confidence
If you're honest — what part of solo travel makes you hesitate most? • getting around safely • airport logistics • being alone • language barriers • something else A lot of solo travel confidence actually comes from feeling prepared. Simple things make a big difference: • choosing walkable central areas • arranging airport transfers ahead of time • sharing your itinerary • keeping copies of documents • starting with traveler-friendly destinations These don’t make travel complicated they make it calmer. And calm leads to confidence. This is also why many people start with: • shorter trips • nearby destinations • or small group travel first You build experience You build awareness You build trust in yourself Then traveling alone stops feeling risky…and starts feeling freeing.

@Maria Giannuzzi whiplash pretty bad but every stupid plane had something wrong with it. The one The wing didn't work right. I don't know every single bowing. It was this bowing planes. It was like, I really think you should move on and get a new planes that work guys, because you're trying to kill us. That's what you're doing, you're trying to f****** kill us. And then they didn't want to give me they wanted me to stay in another airport all night long and I refused and I said, well, maybe I'll get very really loud. They said the manager was outside, I said is he okay. Well, maybe I'll just tell all these nice folks how the windows blow in just when you're about to take off and that was flight, I said I can give him the flight number, I can From the day and the time all I have to do is go through my notebook, oh yeah, and then there was another one we were trying to go home on, but then this happened, everybody had to get off the plane and get another Boeing stupid airplane that doesn't work right. I said you you guys are wrong. You're wrong and I cannot sleep on the floor and there's no way against I didn't bring up big puffy coat to go to Costa Rica, sorry I showed app if I had I knew I'd be sleeping in airports for weeks, I have nothing to put my head on even oh, my God, it was horrible and then we missed the next flight. So then we oh, it's only only only 6 hours more. You'd have to wait and it's just everything, everything everything. I just don't get it. It's frustrating. It's very frustrating. But if there was somebody else with me, we can just be like all right, let's go drink d*** beer, something I don't care and eat something and shop or whatever I don't even care at this point oh, my gosh, but by myself, and it's honestly very terrifying. So honestly, I thought God was telling me, like, okay, this is your fourth time if you don't understand what I'm saying by now you're never gonna understand you're pretty stupid. Your time to die , I said , well , if it's my time , then it's my time at least I get to see you , Jesus

New Orleans Trip – What Came Up Today (and What Actually Matters)
Had a small session today talking through the New Orleans trip, and a few things stood out that I think will help anyone who’s been thinking about going but hasn’t decided yet. 1. Hotel clarity matters more than price The biggest question wasn’t “how much?” — it was:👉 Where am I staying and does it feel comfortable? So I’m keeping this simple: – Moderate hotel option – Walkable location (French Quarter access) – Balance of comfort + cost – Roommate matching available if you want to reduce cost without sacrificing the experience 2. People don’t want to plan everything A lot of hesitation comes from: 👉 “How do I actually get there and move around?” So I’m building an optional upgrade where I handle: – Flights – Airport transfers – Getting you from your door → hotel → back home You show up. Everything else is handled. 3. The experience matters more than the checklist One thing that came up: 👉 Jazz / live music That’s not something I’m leaving to chance I’m shaping parts of the trip around it (especially Frenchmen Street and local spots). If you’re leaning toward this but just need clarity, message me and I’ll help you sort it out quickly.

But that's what I did when I was stuck in Costa Rica, I called up this hostel cause, I wanted to stay where I was in the hotel. It was really chill. I like the vibe, I like the owners. They were cool. I didn't even get to go in the pool because I literally like headed straight to the beach every day, every single day, and I was in the water literally all day long. Ninety at night , time , I came out and I was hungry as hell cause I wasn't used to treading water having that much exercise every dayBut that's what I did when I was stuck in Costa Rica, I called up this hostel cause, I wanted to stay where I was in the hotel. It was really chill. I like the vibe, I like the owners. They were cool. I didn't even get to go in the pool because I literally like headed straight to the beach every day, every single day, and I was in the water literally all day long. Then at night time, I came out and I was hungry as hell cause I wasn't used to treading water having that much exercise every day. But of course, the food was crazy expensive compared to the street vendors, the sodas I got the exact same thing a casado, from a soda in Arenal & it was 4$ ,a maybe 5? Then I kind of acted like I was staying at the hotel behind where I was swimming at.I just kept showing up there , and then I moved my towel on this chairs , and then I went up to the bar and ordered something to eat and I ordered a Casado, because it was the cheapest thing on the menu and that thing was like 15 or $20 and it was the exact same thing and it wasn't even as good as the the street vendor lady made not nearly as good all. It is, is it's a meat, whatever protein you want and then rice and then beans and then lettuce, minute tomato a little bit of lettuce and tomato little dressing on the All on the same plate, not mixed. Not all mixed together, all separate. But on the same plate, that's a lot of food. I was like, wow, that's a great deal. I think it was, I think it was less than 5I think it was 4 and I tipped my tour guide $5 because I was the only one on the tour cause the couple didn't they already saw the whole town, apparently, and they didn't give a s*** and if God forbid they do something with me! But the reason I ran out of money is because this is embarrassing, but I honestly looking back, I spent probably at least $2000 extra. This is extra one flights alone between trying to get home and trying to get there. It was awful. It was just awful, never in my life. I can't believe I even want to travel again. But I'm hard-headed as hell.I am hard headed as hell! It's funny though I don't one tour, I was the 1 it was my day off when we did the cruise and we got off the boat and I looked at this lady, she was alone and she looked at me and I was like I was like, what are you going to do? She's like, I'm going to the beach, I was like, hell. Yeah, I'm following you. And we ran as fast as we could to the beach everyone else is like what jewelry store do you want to go and I was like, are you f****** s******* me you're going in a jewelry store. Well, that's like the whole thing. Oh, look at this jewelry, oh, you can buy jewelry without taxes. I'm like cool. You're gonna take it with you when you die.I hope.So because that's what it's important to you. It's all about priorities that's all life is priorities, priorities, priorities, and I hope I take my memories with me.Well, I'm pretty sure, God said i could & I believe him!

@Michael Johnson hold up!!!! Is this a PUBLIC MESSAGE, EVERYONE CAN SEE???? WTH? FML!
How Confidence Actually Builds
One thing that surprises people about solo travel: Confidence doesn’t come from perfect trips. It comes from small decisions. You navigate an airport alone. You choose where to eat. You adjust plans on the fly. You figure things out without checking with someone else. Nothing dramatic happens — but internally something changes. You start trusting yourself. That’s when solo travel stops feeling intimidating…and starts feeling freeing. Most experienced solo travelers aren’t fearless — they’re just comfortable making decisions. That comfort builds one small step at a time. ================================================== Admin keywords: solo travel confidence building travel confidence first solo trip mindset solo travel decision making travel confidence building overcoming solo travel fear independent travel confidence solo travel growth travel self trust first time solo traveler solo travel empowerment travel mindset confidence

I’m Opening My Travel Planning Desk — You Can Drop In
I’m trying something new for the community. Starting next week, I’m opening up a Travelers Open Office — a casual live session where I’ll be working on upcoming trips while anyone can drop in, ask questions, share ideas, or just listen in. No presentation. ....No pressure. ..... Just real-time trip planning and conversation. This is also a place to: • suggest destinations • help shape group trips • ask travel questions • talk through ideas • learn how these trips come together You’re welcome to stay the whole time or just pop in for a few minutes. As the group grows, I want more opportunities for us to build things together and this felt like the simplest way to do that. I’ll include the link and details in this post. Hope to see some of you there.

BTW, where ever we go & whatever we do, I'll need a roommate, UNLESS the earth stands still , and they don't upcharge for a solo person! I truly honestly feel as if I'm being punished, because my husband served in the Army and Afghanistan and ended up passing away at age 35, and I get penalized every single time I just keep getting screwed no matter which way I look, and it's really starting to get on my nerves like what it's not like the room costs them more, It doesn't! Maybe the activities or something, but it's definitely not double the price I don't know
