Happy New Year
I’ve been thinking a lot about how many chapters I’ve already lived. I remember being a younger woman who genuinely believed she wasn’t very intelligent. Then came the chapter where I wanted to prove everyone wrong and decided I was intelligent, just in my own way. That led to businesses that failed. Lessons that were hard. Moments where I questioned everything. Then things started to click. A business that worked. Confidence that grew slowly. Then I became a mother, and everything shifted again. I had to learn how to hold ambition and care at the same time. How to build something sustainable. How to trust that I could provide. Now I’m in a chapter where I know this to be true: I’m financially independent, with a business that supports my family. Not because it was easy. But because I kept becoming. This New Year doesn’t feel like a fresh start. It feels like a continuation. If you’re standing at the edge of a new chapter too, you don’t have to figure it out alone. My January calls are open if you want to talk things through properly. Book a call here: https://calendly.com/kimloystudios/30min?month=2025-09
Happy New Year @Kim Loy
Look how far you’ve come.
Mexico City was a blast. Incredible food, so much culture, but wow, it’s busy. Arriving in Sayulita has been such a welcome change of pace. We’re here with close friends, staying up above the ocean. I’m writing this from the kitchen table, looking straight out over the beach in the most incredible home, which astounds me because… Seven years ago, I was broke. No money. No savings. No job. At 36, a new mum, I borrowed £2,000 from my parents to do my first PMU training and promised I’d pay it back within a year. Seven years later, I can bring my family here. Not because of luck. But because I built a business that supports my life, instead of taking it over. That’s what I care about when I work with artists. Building skill, confidence, and income with room for family, rest, and freedom. If that’s something you want more of next year, my January calls are open. You can book one here if you want to work towards your version of success: BOOK YOUR JAN CALL: https://calendly.com/kimloystudios/30min?month=2025-09 Kim x
It sounds like a dream come true @Kim Loy , you've worked so hard to get where you are and should be so proud of the achievement 😊 I too strive for financial independence, getting to this point in my training has taken everything and I'm left with huge debt and no clients, where do I go from here... it's hard to keep going when there is no financial return or even interest. Im lucky that I still have a 'day job' but I want so much to have a job that I actually enjoy and to reap the rewards from this.... sorry I sound so negative and wonder if my expectations are too high! Maybe I just need to relax and let it come. Has anyone else struggled with this? How did you get through it, it'd be lovely to hear some more journeys that have been successful ❤️
@Lian Feurtado this is great advice, thank you so much xx
