Besides the vault which I assume is installed on my MacBook, is there anything else I need to buy to add to my ReMarkable Pro Move?

I just bought a license for the vault but after reading about “hacks” and third party apps I’m afraid of downloading and installing it. Can someone please help me feel safe about using the app. Please explain the process.
