Hi everyone! How’s everybody doing? Hope all is well! This debut poetry is what I wrote back in September 2025. Please let me know your thoughts and opinions about them with me! Here’s my book cover image. What do you think and feel about it? I created it via Canva.

Hi everyone! My name is Michael Teferi, I am a BIPOC Poet, Writer, Positive Psychology Coach, and a Debut Poetry Book Author. I am originally from Ethiopia, yet I was born right here in Washington, DC, and grew up right here in DC, Arlington, and Alexandria, VA. My aunt brought me here to Manassas, VA in the Summer of 2024. One of my favorite quotes that I came up with back in senior year of high school at Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, VA in the year 2000 is the following: “Try to be as open-minded towards others and yourself as you possibly can because you’ll never be able to truly live life otherwise”.—Michael Teferi I truly want to connect with inspired readers, as I look to inspire readers readily, realize their dreams boldly, and act collectively towards a strong sense of belonging. My favorite thing about myself is that I am well-rounded, intelligent, and I have a strong capacity to care.
