@Emily Coollin Hi right back at you, Emily! Glad you’re doing well! Thanks so much for asking and appreciating me about my poetry trilogy completion. I am definitely excited to be writing my fourth poetry book as we speak. Great questions! The answer is pretty much no, as I truly have had little to no success in having my poetry books reach the right audience thus far. I haven’t had much reader engagement and feedback, except a few people on Substack. I honestly need extra help and support. Have any advice, support, recommendations, by any chance?

@Emily Coollin I haven’t done any connection on Goodreads. I have done so mainly on Substack!

@Danie Marie Thanks, Danie! I really appreciate that you like my Author website. I have used Substack and Instagram to get in front of readers thus far. Otherwise, I want to understand the discovery side too!

@Adam Erhart @Danie Marie Hey Adam! Hey again, Danie! Thanks very much for your understanding and appreciation regarding my poetry books. I really did my due diligence. Thanks for recognizing and supporting my Author website. Yes, I am definitely waiting to be discovered. I actually connected with a bunch of Literary Agents and Senior Agents, sent each of them a query/proposal of my poetry and poetry books as a trilogy. I learned that it can take 6-8 weeks for a response, and I sent my initial response in five weeks ago. Wish me luck and wish me the best!
What's the biggest thing stopping you from publishing your book?
When I first started my digital journey, I thought I needed everything to be perfect before taking the next step. That mindset kept me stuck for longer than I'd like to admit. What changed for me was getting the right guidance, focusing on one step at a time, and staying consistent instead of chasing perfection. I'd love to hear from this community: What's the biggest challenge you're facing with your self-publishing journey right now? Writing, editing, formatting, marketing, confidence, or something else? Drop it below, let's help each other move forward

@Jessica Willow Hi Jessica! Thanks for thinking of me! Yes, I have this problem myself when it comes to my journey, specifically because I have three poetry books completed and finished as a trilogy, yet I am waiting to be discovered and waiting to be published for as soon as humanly possible! I contacted a bunch of Literary Agents and Senior Agents four weeks ago, as I send each of them a query/proposal of my poetry books as a trilogy, axed on my poetry, so I was then told that it can take 6-8 weeks for a response. Thus, I am being patient and persistent henceforth. I recently contacted Harper Collins and Harper Collins Christian Publishing, as well, so I am hopping plus aiming to hear Bach from them sometime soon, yet I have heard from anyone there as of yet. I do need help and support in marketing and publicizing my poetry books, so please DM me or contact me here o; this wonderful post thread, Jessica! Hope to hear back from you sometime soon! Guess what? Yesterday, I did an Author Interview with a really nice lady and host named Elizabeth, whom I met a few weeks ago here on Skool. She’s doing her due diligence while being with her life partner. She has her own podcast here on the Gimme 5 Book Reviews and Author Interviews place on YouTube. Here is the YouTube link, so please let me know your thoughts and opinions about it with me: https://youtu.be/jGk5vXkJEcI?is=vwIMyo_uNsKl3oGs
Finishing a Manuscript Is Only Half the Journey, What Comes Next?
One thing I’ve noticed from working around authors and manuscripts is that many writers spend years focusing on *finishing* their book, but very little time thinking about the *publishing path* that will follow. By the time the manuscript is done, questions start appearing: • Should I query literary agents or consider independent publishing? • Is the manuscript truly ready for submission, or does it still need structural work? • What materials do agents or publishers actually expect? There isn’t a single right path for every book, but clarity about the publishing route can make a big difference in how smoothly the process goes. Out of curiosity for the writers here: Are you currently writing your manuscript, preparing to publish, or already querying agents?

@Charlotte Mark Hi Charlotte and hi everybody! This is Michael Teferi here! Yes, all three of these choices actually! I have completely finished three manuscripts as a trilogy, and I currently have just professionally printed out two of my poetry books this past week printed out by Minuteman Press in Old Town Alexandria, VA, which is actually franchised in parts of North America, Canada, and Australia. My aunt picked them up during her lunch hour in between her work hours this past Monday, and she brought them to me when she came to visit me here at Birmingham Green nursing home in Manassas, VA this past Saturday. Afterwards, she took pictures of me with my poetry books, one at a time, she’s going to download them and email them to me later today in the morning or during her lunch hour on Tuesday while she is at work. My plan of action is to continue writing poetry for a few months, creating more poetry books, then creating additional book cover Titles, and afterwards going back to Minuteman Press in Old Town Alexandria, VA and getting more of my additional poetry books professionally printed out once again. I can hardly wait to see all that comes next during this journey of mine! Guess what? Please check out my VSL Challenge from one of the other Skool communities I am a member of, AuthorityCam, since I created my Substack live conversation and uploaded it to my YouTube channel! Let me know your thoughts and opinions about it with me! Here’s the YouTube channel video link: https://youtu.be/5Z3k_fYoRxU?is=qRJ5_Nw1-aQ9_INA
Quick thought:
A lot of people wait until they feel ready… but that moment never really comes. You just start, mess up, learn, and get better as you go. I’m at that stage right now focused on improving every day and staying consistent no matter what. If you could give ONE piece of advice to someone trying to level up, what would it be?

@Stephen King @Danielle Marietta It’s such an honor and a privilege to be here in this Skool community with you both! Mr. King, you’re one of my favorite authors in the entire world in my humble opinion. Your best to me was “The Dead Zone”, which became a movie and the infamous tv series that I fully watched in the recent past! Mr. King, may I please connect with you too, get to know you as an author and a human being, plus share with you about my poetry books that are based on inspiration, self-help/personal growth, and spirituality, please, by any chance? Here’s my brand new free Author Website: https://michaelteferi.author-pages.com. I really want to connect with inspired readers based on who I am, and my three different poetry books as a trilogy. Please feel free to check out any of my poetry books and in case you’re curious and interested, you can purchase any of them on the PangoBooks online bookstore at the following link: https://pangobooks.com/bookstore/romanticsinger24. In addition, I have my own Substack, which encases all my poetry, article blog entries, and Substack live conversations. Here’s the link to my Substack: https://romanticsinger24.substack.com. Care to be on a Substack live conversation with me by any chance, please Mr. King? Please let me know whether you’re curious and interested, as it would be such a true pleasure and privilege to connect and get to know you. Hope to hear back from you all sometime soon!
