Market your app

What niche or demographic does your app serve? One thing to remember when you are getting some "handholding"... what works for one person, or one type of product, doesn't always work for another person or product. One of the easiest, and probably the single most powerful thing WE have done for all our businesses, (definitely the least expensive), something that really worked for us, was to build FB groups that are based around our target demographic.....ie...one of our businesses was importing and selling sublimation blanks and equipment to home based "Mom and Pop" sublimators... we also joined a lot of other FB sublimation groups. We watched for issues and problems people were having, and started our own group to help people get help with their issues. WE became an authority...and better yet, we found that as our group grew, members would help members. (Once it got to a certain size, whether we were there to answer questions anymore or not, was irrelevant... members would take care of other members ). At first, for about a year, (2020), as our group was building, we sold blanks inside FB to our group members...so we had revenue right away. (If you go this route, you could probably do this with your app too...sell inside FB as your group builds) ....Then we built a Shopify store. Our first calendar year out of the gate with the Shopify website, (2021), we did 501k ...not a single paid ad or promotion of any sort...all our traffic was organic social, and organic SEO. And in 2022, we did 584K. Completely Organically. To show I am not full of BS, here are some Iphone screenshots I downloaded from my Iphone to my computer in August 2022 (hence that darn date showing up on the screenshots!) I included Jan1 - Dec31, 2020 to show that the store didn't make any money in 2020...we actually were building it in Nov/Dec 2020, we opened it to the public Jan 1, 2021. (This was all right in the middle of covid). I guess my point is, YOU can do this. EVERYONE starts somewhere. You learned to build an app, and that's pretty incredible! NOW you have a product of your own...how many people do that out of the gate? It's yours....you created it.....to help other people! You have something to sell! How great is that! You learn by DOING!

By the way, I should PROBABLY mention that I have just built an app myself....putting the finishing touches on it, doing the tutorial videos and PDF's, etc. And yes...It is my first app too! My wife is more excited for me to launch than I am! I should probably follow my own advice and get it out there.....NAH! ....I'd rather just tweak it and play with it some more!😁 (It's a "Scratch and Win" contest creation software to help marketers build their lists, regardless of niche or product (physical or digital), generating sales as they do it). Anyway, It's easier for me to give others advice than to follow it!🤣
1st App
I have just built my first app with Maker Ai and I’m really nervous🤞 it is all fine and working Anyone else nervous building for the first time?🫣 How do you test the App is working correctly?

Lisa, Look for my comment in Rajesh's post here. It might give you some food for thought.(right now it is the post above yours) As far as testing your app, give it out to people in your target demographic in return for critiques and bug testing.
The Software Sales Kit
Hey Everyone! Can anyone tell me if Jonathan's new "The Software Sales Kit" is also included as a part of MakerAI? Thanks, Mike

IT'S HERE!!!!!!
https://tickettruth.io The project I’ve been building since last week has officially completed Phase 1. Now comes the fun part: growing it while I work on Phase 2 behind the scenes. The purpose of the site is simple: It directs users to the OFFICIAL venue website and the OFFICIAL ticket provider before they buy tickets. A lot of people purchase resale tickets on secondary marketplaces. Some know they are. Some have absolutely no idea. What many don’t realize is they’re often paying 50% more — sometimes significantly higher — than the original ticket price. This isn’t a site to search artists or compete with Live Nation, Ticketmaster, or AXS. That’s not the goal. The goal is transparency.I want fans to be informed before they purchase. There’s also an About section that explains my background and why I built this. Here’s the short version: Over the last 35+ years, I’ve worked in live events, ticketing operations, onsales & presales, settlements, customer service, and event execution across multiple venues and entertainment organizations. I’ve seen firsthand how confusing ticket buying has become for fans. So I built something I wish existed years ago. More updates soon.

Epiphany
Woke up this morning with an idea that actually made me leap out of bed. Not one of those “meh, I’ll think about it later” ideas. Nope. This one hits where I live—35+ years in the live entertainment world, where glamour is a lie and soul-sucking chaos is real. I pitched it to a few friends. One said, “That’s f***ing genius!” One person. That’s all I needed. Ego = satisfied. Fast forward nine hours at my desk. I’ve been building, planning, cackling at my own brilliance… and only used 20 Lovable credits. Now I’m down to verifying 170 website links before I upload the database. Because yes, I’m obsessive. ChatGPT searched for competitors. None exist. Zilch. Nada. So yeah—I’m about to copyright and trademark this thing. It’s free… for now. Premium features coming later: monthly, lifetime, affiliate links, venue sponsors, ads—basically ways to make money without making anyone hate me. I’m excited. For two years, I’ve been trying to invent something tied to my job, thinking either nothing existed or the billion-dollar companies were already on it. Spoiler: they weren’t. I’ll post again when it’s live. And yes—I’ll probably gloat a little.

Hey Kim...My daughter is a multi instrument musician/singer songwriter...performs live mostly locally when she does perform, but is also an online "influencer" with a small but very targeted following (not huge yet, only about 40k followers, but very targeted)...because of this targeted following, she gets a ton of stuff sent to her from music brands almost daily, like a soundbooth from Voctent, music hardware from Singing straw, Strich, and Soundbrenner to name a few....even stuff like a tea for singers (YUCH! I can't remember what its called but it's terrible! LOL), and though her following isn't huge, she gets orders for her personal merch from all over the world (just amazes me!) She has pretty big artists follow and reach out to her, and her music has had some radio play (not that radio is even a thing anymore), has had her songs featured on the Bob Cesca Show in the U.S.A. 3 times (former video producer/director for MTV, now a huge political podcaster in DC), and I could go on and on.... She performs live, but not often anymore, as she doesn't seek it out...(she would rather write music and she does a lot of video, we have a bit of a studio)....that said, she has opened twice for Saskatchewan Country Artist of the year JJ Voss...performed at large outdoor events like International Womens Day Canada, stuff like that. (Yes, we are in Canada!) I guess I should get to the point!...(I get typing and my computer just pukes stuff out!)....Is your software something that would be a fit for an audience like hers? If so, please reach out! Thanks, Mike Rytter p.s. just re-read the above....sorry for the bragging...just a proud Dad!

@Kim LeClear Tks Kim...she has all that...Lawyer etc...(We actually just went thru a royalty dust-up with one of her distributors, LOL!)....anyway, my thought when I read your post this morning, was that if your idea was something for artists/performers, she could help you by connecting you with her audience! But.... your product is going to be for attendees! (Can't wait to see it tho!)
