@Robert Nelsen Always great having a favourite photo. Is there a specific reason why?
Coins?
While we're mainly in a electronic and digital world now, I'm curious how you guys handle coins? ($2, $1, $0.25 etc. (or your countries coins)) Do you just have them in your pocket, small coin pouch? Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts and ideas.

Finance Styling and Profiling πŸ’³
Hi everyone (and mods/admins please remove if not allowed), I believe style to be all encompassing from clothes to finances so as such I'm in the process of elevating my game in that respect. I've recently gone down the rabbit hole of US credit cards and starting the process to build up US credit/offers. As a Canadian I won't go into full details of the steps/plan etc. but essentially I'm wondering if anyone would have any referral links/offers (I know sometimes they have better bonuses than what's advertised). Quick overview and current iteration of the plan (of course if things are approved etc.) Anticipated Jan–Feb 2026 β†’ Waiting on ITIN to be issued. Mar 2026 β†’ BMO U.S. Cash Back Mastercard Early Apr 2026 β†’ Chase IHG Traveler Late Apr 2026 β†’ Amex Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Jun 2026 β†’ Chase Sapphire Preferred Jul 2026 β†’ Amex Marriott Bonvoy Business Nov 2026 β†’ Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Jan 2027 β†’ Chase World of Hyatt It's still a work in progress, but this fits my current travel plans/brands etc. Also if anyone happens to have any of these cards, would love to hear your thoughts on them.

@Christian Coker I've mainly been watching a bunch of youtubers and visiting tons of blogs. I looked at hotel chains that I normally stay either for work or personal travel and started seeing what was offered as a starting point. I've also enlisted chatgpt to help me organize my thoughts and plans. I've just started this process so not too sure yet, but just comparing it to Canada's card market, they certainly are way better for earnings, perks and sign up bonuses. IMO at least. This definitely isn't a quick thing to get into, but I'm forecasting it to be worth it in the end for me.

@Christian Coker Started with hotels (as you can see from my plan, Marriott will be my primary brand) since that's usually what I'm at for work so having something that could provide status was a main point for me. (And even though I know it might not give great perks as many people have the same status just from having the card. I might have a bit more luck since I'm in Canada) I'm not flying very often and many of the big airline perk cards are catered for US flights/airlines. (I'm in Canada so doesn't help much there) So far it's all organized in chatgpt, but I'm expanding it into a spreadsheet system where it'll have cards listed, credit limit, age of credit etc. The main payoff besides the status, is that some of these cards offer free night awards, so if I have a layover somewhere or just want to spoil myself for a night, I have that option. (Never know what deal you can find and stay at a place where I might not normally pay for - say like the Ritz-Carlton or something) Also for Marriott at least, the perks stack depending on the US cards you have, while Canadian cards don't (which is weird since we have the same cards in that respect (amex ones))
OOTD - Jan 2, 2026
A bit of a different outfit of the day for yesterday, but still a favourite outfit to wear. I got promoted and now I'm wearing my new belt. (It's only a small change nowadays, but still feels great each time)

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!! May it be filled with all your hopes, dreams, and all around good vibes. Much love to you all. (Still a couple of ours for me but I'm ready. haha) Bonus question - what are some of your favourite champagnes (or drinks)? (I couldn't pick up my usual treat, but these are a great substitute. lol)
