I was a product photographer for 10+ years who'd creativity felt stifled. Went back to school and ended up in a boot camp type program that leaned more toward TV production than film. Graduated in 2020 and decided I would start at the bottom to prove myself. I'm now getting steady work producing regional and national commercial spots. Since that still didn't scratch my creative itch, I picked up a senior living management company client with ~50 locations up and down the east coast. I've put together a two-person crew that travels to create marketing videos at each location. We try to incorporate as much "big crew" production into our run-and-gun shoots. Always looking to learn more, which is what brought me here!
@Spenser Sakurai I feel like the biggest challenge for me is my desire to continue growing as someone behind the camera. I want to make striking images even with a two-person crew and limited equipment (lighting). I love working closely with commercial DPs and gaffers, as a producer. I can adopt some processes that I watch them use. I just love the creative process.
