Christine, this is a great find and timely for me personally! I'm actually in the process of looking at relocating abroad myself within the next year, location-independent with the travel business. Portugal was actually on my radar early on, but I ended up deferring it (cost crept up more than expected) and I'm currently narrowing in on Latin America instead — Mexico, Colombia, Panama, and Ecuador are the shortlist, with Mérida in Mexico as the current frontrunner. A lot of the same things this article points to for Portugal — safety, slower pace, strong community show up in the expat conversations around Mérida too. Funny how much overlap there is between "where retirees feel safe" and "where digital nomads/location-independent folks want to land" basically the same criteria, just a different life stage prompting the search.

@Christine Berencz I might would have liked their old format if I had seen it but so many ads out there are really busy and overwhelming. This one(I like green-my favorite color) is visually not overstimulating and gets the point across.

@Christine Berencz Facebook ad.. Honestly I have looking for my ad on facebook. You just type in Skool seqarches on Facebook and wahla instant Skool ads get sent to you LOL. So far I keep seeing all these groups I am in but they are skipping me for some reason.. even smaller non growing groups are showing up but for me? Nada. Lol I need some help on using affiliate links and haveing people spread mine. Haha in rreturn I'd do the same for them.
