📌 Decision Fatigue and the Cost of Too Many "Good" Options
Decision fatigue is often misunderstood. It is usually framed as a lack of discipline, focus, or stamina; the idea that if you were stronger or more organized, you would simply make the choice and move on. But decision fatigue rarely comes from too few options. It comes from too many good ones. When choices are obviously wrong, decision-making is easy. What exhausts us are situations where multiple paths seem reasonable, defensible, even appealing. Each option carries potential. Each comes with trade-offs. And each demands mental and emotional energy to evaluate. Join our "Your Pathway To Growth" Skool community today (Free) and get access to new "Just Thinking" full posts, not just these summaries. New posts nearly every day. https://www.skool.com/your-pathway-to-growth-5059

I loved this and have this to be so true. Overwhelm does not come at the beginning of the research phase... It seems to come when we start the research only to find we have way more options than we ever imagined!!/ Also as ADHD more options can paralyze me into, "Doing more research" Which never fixies, it just gives more confusion. One thing that’s helped me outside of travel is removing the question “What’s the best option?” and replacing it with “Which option makes the next step easier?” When everything feels like a good choice, aiming for “best” usually creates more noise. Choosing the option that reduces friction tends to unlock movement and clarity follows after.

@Stephen B. Henry I just realized that there is the "Just Thinking" classroom.. Haha Time for a late dinner then I am delving deeper into your content.. To be honest I missed this on my first take. Thanks for pointing that out. Looking forward to reading more on the subject.
Intro: Michael Johnson ✈️ One Step Away Collective
Thanks for the opportunity to share. I’m Michael, and I run a small Skool community focused on travel, clarity, and building flexibility without hype. Here’s a quick snapshot for anyone curious: ✈️ One Step Away Collective A community for people who want clarity, not chaos. You don’t need to quit your job tomorrow. You don’t need 12 income streams. You don’t need to “go viral.” You just need one clear next step. What this community is: • One focused place to turn ideas into momentum• No hype, no fake nomad math, no pressure• Execution over noise — simple systems that actually get used • Small wins that compound• Travel, freedom, and location-flexible life — without fantasy timelines• Engaged conversations, not dead feeds• People who are serious, but human Who this is for: - Builders with engaged communities but unclear monetization - Creators tired of overbuilding and second-guessing - People who want freedom without burning their life down - Anyone who values consistency over virality Who this is not for: - Get-rich-quick seekers - Funnel collectors - Drive-by promoters Why it’s different: Most groups push more. We focus on sequence. What to build first. What to ignore. When to monetize. How to keep trust intact. If you’ve ever thought: “I’m closer than it looks — I just need clarity.” You’ll feel at home here. 🔗 One Step Away Collective
