Happy New Year! What is your first learning goal for 2026?
This year is going to be EPIC and I am speaking success, life, energy, and amazing photos over all of you for this year! When we make a plan and give it a date, our goals start to manifest and happen. So, I would love to have you all decide what you want to learn FIRST this year, when you will learn it, and what your plan is to master it! Example: "I am going to finally master speedlites by February 25th, and I am going to watch the Indoor Lighting Made Easy and Core Lessons on speedlites, do 4 practice shoots, post them here for feedback and finally use them with confidence on my shoots!" Here is my personal goals this year.... I have STRUGGLED since 2023 with my work being regular and income being varied, so for 2026, I am going to focus my energy into three things. 1. Creating GREAT value and content for you all (and knowing that SOME of you will want Advanced Training Options), 2. Growing my photography brand back up to where it should be. 3. Growing my Marketing Consulting for brands that want to clarify their message (photographers, creatives, real estate agents, professionals and many others I can help)! I will launch my Advanced Training Options websites in the next 30 days, I have already locked in my first big photo client for 2026, and I am building my marketing consulting strategy starting tomorrow!

@Zach Gray Congrats, I love that for you! This is exactly how real momentum gets created. When you put intention behind a goal and attach a timeline, it stops being a wish and starts becoming a plan. My goals for 2026 are to take actionable steps toward financial freedom. I’ve let my job consume too much of my time and pull me away from meaningful life goals, so this year is about reclaiming focus and direction. I’ve created a vision board and placed words of affirmation throughout my home as daily reminders to stay locked in. I also took a page out of your book, Zach; Discover, Clarify, and Implement because “you can’t reach what’s in front of you until you let go of what’s behind you.” Appreciate you setting the tone for an epic year.
What Lighting are you using?
I am using three Godox AD200 speedlights and love how mobile they are without wires and tripping hazards. The AD200's fits any Bowens mount and I make use of soft boxes and strip boxes when shooting indoors and 40"Beauty Dishes when shooting outdoors. My lights are left and right 45 Deg and high up so that there are little to no shadows on the background and the 3rd is on the background or on the hair of the model and I like to use a gel on the 3rd. What works for you?

Thanks for reaching out! I’m currently shooting with the Profoto A10, and it’s been a great fit for my workflow; it’s super reliable, fast to work with, and easy to stay mobile while still getting consistent high-quality light. I’ve been really happy with the results and always enjoy talking lighting.
Hello Community
Hello beautiful community. I'm excited to be here and learn what I can. I haven't done any photography this year because I went through some hard times. I am climbing out of the abyss and am ready to learn and develop as a photographer. Thanks for the opportunity, Zach!!

IN-CAMERA Live Workshops
Sign up for the Workshops Waitlist HERE! Weekend, in-person intensives for photographers who want real-world mastery. Before online courses were everywhere, I ran IN-CAMERA Workshops around the country. Over the years: - 1,500+ photographers attended - $750 per seat - Every workshop was turnkey, practical, and pressure-tested The focus was always the same:Great shooting—not fixing mistakes in post. These weren’t lectures. They were hands-on weekends where photographers learned how to see, shape, and control light in situations that actually matter. That model still works—because it works fast. Workshop Tracks (Hosted 1–3 times per year) - Off-Camera Flash WorkshopReal setups. Real rooms. Real control. - Natural Light WorkshopHow to find, shape, and repeat good light anywhere. - IN-CAMERA Business IntensiveClarity around pricing, positioning, and growth. What makes these different - In-person learning (no distractions) - Clear structure—not theory - Small groups and real interaction - You leave knowing exactly what to do next Photographers pay a premium for these weekends because: - Progress happens faster in person - You can’t hide behind a screen - Confidence is built through experience How this works now Workshops are announced quietly and spots are limited.Details are shared here first—before anything goes public. If an upcoming IN-CAMERA Workshop might be right for you, use the Next-Level Training Inquiry link below. If it’s not a fit, I’ll tell you. No pressure. No mass launches.Just the right people in the room. — Zach PS: Want to go deeper? Some photographers want hands-on feedback, live shooting experience, or business-level growth. If that’s you, this is where to start. 👉 Next-Level Training Inquiry

Honestly, Zach’s in-person workshop is special. Being there, immersed in natural light, physically seeing it shift minute by minute, and interacting with real subjects is something no online tutorial can truly replicate. What stood out most for me was how hands-on and intentional the experience felt; with concepts clicking in real time and immediate feedback in an environment that encouraged curiosity rather than perfection. The energy in the room, the shared passion, and those “aha” moments when everything suddenly made sense made it genuinely inspiring. It wasn’t just about learning technique; it was about trusting your eye. Definitely take advantage of the opportunity!
