I made up my mind that I was finally going to do it now was the time when I was going to kick the habit. And I might've succeeded... but I sabotaged myself. I made it three days without a Pepsi or a single piece of chocolate. Three days!! And things were going pretty good which is kind of surprising.... all things considered, that is... every single day for the past... I don't know how many years, I'd grab a soda and a handful of chocolate kisses about an hour after breakfast. It's not the caffeine that I need... it's worse. it's the sugar. And I'd decided that I was done. I'm quitting. But day 3 rolled around and I had a pretty bad headache. No problem, there's a bottle of Excedrin sitting on the back of the sink. So I took a couple...nothing... worse than nothing. I was groggy... brain fog and the headache didn't go away. Day 4... headache was worse and I was feeling even more groggy but I took a couple of Excedrin in the morning. and an hour later... I needed a nap. I couldn't stay awake. But I went to the beach for my evening walk anyway and after returning home from the beach, I reached for the Excedrin again and that's when I saw it... there was actually two bottles on the back of the sink. So I thought... "hmmmm... maybe the one I'm taking is expired." I grabbed the bottle, put my glasses on and checked the label. Over the counter allergy medication. No wonder I was tired... nauseous brain fog... with a terrible headache. You see I was so focused on the goal, that I lost focus of the present moment. I was looking so far ahead towards what I wanted to accomplish that I didn't see what was right in front of me. As Skool owners, builders, creators... that's something that we tend to do as well. 𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹, we have 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵, and we set our sights on reaching it... But in the mean time... 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀.
