Playing with water drops
Decided to play with some water drops last night, using the reminance of a flower in the garden and some coloured card for the background, shot with Canon R62 and AstrHori 120mm F4 ISO 2000 1/125 using the desk light to light the scene.

Meet Barry, a rather spectacular panther chameleon 🦎
Barry was fantastic to photograph and the perfect subject for demonstrating camera settings and macro technique during my workshop at the Welsh Camera and Optics Show with Carmarthen cameras. His calm nature allowed me to slow everything down, explain what I was changing and show how small adjustments could transform the final image. Swipe through from the incredible curl of his tail to his colourful head and the remarkable details hidden within his skin. A huge thank you to animalcwtch for bringing Barry and for all the care and hard work that went into the session. It allowed me to concentrate on teaching, knowing the animals were being looked after throughout.

Eye to eye with Boba Fett 🐍
Boba Fett is a boa constrictor and was one of the incredible subjects I photographed during my macro workshop at the Welsh Camera and Optics Show with Carmarthen cameras. A huge thank you to his handler, Josh Rees, and everyone at animalcwtch for providing the animals and putting so much work into the session. Having Boba Fett in Josh’s experienced care meant I could concentrate fully on teaching and helping everyone with their photography, knowing the animal’s welfare was always in expert hands. I also set this one as my iPhone wallpaper 😃

These are amazing - and another window into something - who knew they looked like that? Well, certainly some folks did, but, you know . . . 😏
First time meet Dragon fly to capture.
Hi all. I would like to share a couple of focus-stacked shots from my first attempt at capturing a dragonfly. The setting was less than ideal, as it landed last night on the window frame for an overnight nap. 🤗 LUCKY ME ☺️ It is a double-glazed window and somewhat dirty exactly where it chose to stay. 😟 I tried hard this morning to capture it with an eye in perfect focus, but I could not achieve better results than these. Perhaps without the glass and dirt, the images might have been excellent. Still, given the lens I used and the dirty double-glazed window, I did a great job. 👏 What you all think ? Camera used Canon EOS R50 Lens Canon 55-210mm with Raynox 250 Flash light and soft fabric as diffuser 💪😂 First photo Shutter speed 1/250s Aperture f8 ISO 200 Focal length 108mm Second photo Shutter speed 1/250s Aperture f8 ISO 320 Focal length 91mm Third photo Shutter speed 1/200s Aperture f8 ISO 200 Focal length 110mm Fourth photo Shutter speed 1/250s Aperture f8 ISO 400 Focal length 100mm Last photo Shutter speed 1/250s Aperture f8 ISO 400 Focal length 100

Very nice PKB! Don’t know if you tried, but just a touch of Dehaze in post processing can be very helpful anytime you shoot through glass.
A few from wales
Last day of holiday yesterday so went for a wander around the camp site with the macro kit, got a few good shots, it would of been rude not to get some while somewhere different, all bar number 2 was shot with the Astrhori 120mm while number 2 was shot with Zhongyi 1-5x 55mm f2.8 1/200 F8 ISO600
