Is This Possible?
I have 2 novelty apps that I am giving away. For the first app the user has to register with name and email, verified. While the app will be free, it will have a profit platform run page for donations. I want to create something where, if they donate $5 or more they can get free access to app #2. I want there to be no other way to start an account in #2 without doing it through app #1. Can I make it so someone can only register for #2 through a specific link? Maybe have #1 assign the user a code at time of sign-up, the code to be used to start an account in #2 (name, email, and code required)? Maybe PP could email a link or code? Knowing when someone has donated $5 or more and thus eligible for app #2 is a problem. I'm open to any suggestions.

I forgot to print the reply. For some reason, Buildy doesn't know what PP is. What App #1 Can Definitely Do Code Management: - ✅ Store a list of codes in its database - ✅ Track which codes have been used vs. available - ✅ Automatically select the next unused code - ✅ Only recycle codes once the entire list has been used (if you want that behavior) - ✅ Display the code to the user immediately after donation The Critical Piece: Detecting Donations This depends entirely on how Profit Platform works, and I can't search the internet to look that up. Here's what we'd need to know: Option 1 - Profit Platform sends notifications (IDEAL): - Does Profit Platform have a way to notify App #1 when a donation happens? (called a "webhook" in technical terms - basically an automatic ping saying "hey, someone just donated") - If yes, App #1 can automatically detect donations and issue codes instantly Option 2 - Manual trigger: - If Profit Platform doesn't automatically notify, you could have a manual step where you or the donor triggers the code issuance - Less automated, but still functional Option 3 - Profit Platform API: - Some platforms let apps check "did this person donate?" by asking their system directly - If available, App #1 could verify donations this way What I Need From You Could you tell me more about Profit Platform? - Is it a specific service/website you're using for donations? - Do they provide any documentation about connecting external apps? - Can you share details about how it notifies about donations or if it has integration options? Once I understand how Profit Platform works, I can tell you exactly how App #1 would receive donation notifications and automatically distribute codes! The App #2 Connection For the second app - yes, App #2 can absolutely have a login system where users enter their unique code to gain access. The two apps would be completely separate, which is totally fine!

I had to solve a problem for Buildy
I was having Buildy punch up a landing page. It told me there was all kinds of new stuff there, but I couldn't see any text on the page. I asked Buildy in several different ways to fix the problem and it couldn't figure it out in over 10 attempts. While considering the problem, I was moving my cursor around on the page and noticed it was reacting as though there was text there and it hit me. I told Buildy to make the text black and that fixed the problem. The text had been there but Buildy either colored it white or made it see-through. I was just amazed that Buildy couldn't assess such a simple problem. There were also a couple of times that I suggested to Buildy that a certain problem was occurring because a specific feature I identified was interfering. Buildy checked and that was indeed the problem. Buildy doesn't seem to be doing a comprehensive job of problem-solving at times. If I can figure out a problem, I think Buildy should be able to figure out the problem. I'm no rocket surgeon.

I need to set up profit platform for my app to collect donations to me. the app is free but it will allow voluntary donations in case they like it. I'm primarily collecting emails. Can I set it up by myself? Can anyone point me to clear directions to set up an account? I already own the domain. Any help would be appreciated. I really want to get this thing up and running. Does someone at Buildy have to make the app live on my domain to ensure everything works and such?
