Question
My wife and I want to start a hotshot trucking company and I’m learning how to dispatch and she is learning with me. My question is, should I continue learning to dispatch even though I’m going to be the driver ?

@ALex Nunez I feel like both of you learning it is amazing. If there’s ever a reason she can’t do it or whatever the case you can do it for yourself. Like she gets sick or whatever and out of commission a few days, you know exactly what to do and don’t miss a beat. My boyfriend has no interest in learning it for himself he absolute hates phones and laptops and apps lol but I keep telling him it would be great to learn it. You don’t want to pay a dispatcher for something you guys can do yourself.
First Day Of SKOOL📝
What’s up, everyone! I’m Braiden from DFW. I’ve been in logistics for around 10 years — from driving 🚛 to now working in dispatch and operations. Looking to grow my network, learn from others in the space, and add value where I can. 🤝🔥

@Braiden Ford I haven’t started yet this is all new. My boyfriend is starting hotshot and we thought it would be cool if learned dispatch for him then I realized I can make a side business out of it instead of just for him so diving deep. A little overwhelming but having a great time learning
👋🏾 New Here — Excited to Learn & Connect
What’s up everyone! My name is Antoine, but most people call me Toine. I’m currently a CDL A truck driver, and I’m in the process of building my transportation business, R&M Transport Solutions LLC. My goal is to learn the business from multiple angles and eventually build something that goes beyond just driving a truck. I joined Dispatcher University because I want to understand the dispatching side of the industry, learn how to find and negotiate freight, work with carriers, and build a solid foundation before taking the next step. I’m big on learning, applying, and stacking reps. I’m here to absorb as much as I can, ask questions, connect with people, and eventually share what I learn along the way. Looking forward to meeting everybody and growing with the community! 🚛💪🏾

Great advantage to know both sides of the industry! That’s how we advance. Not staying in one single lane but learning all angles of the business! Congrats!

@Woodjy Fulcidor do you want to remain driving or plan to switch over to the dispatching side?
LLC
Question for anyone who knows. Would I open my own LLC for dispatching even though my boyfriend had an LLC for his hotshot business or is it combined?
