A good friend sent me a video of an event called CRAFT RAVE that is taking off in Toronto and I jumped on the idea as it truly aligns with my vision for the sprouT.Love Community. I've quite a bit of interest and thought I'd post it here. It will likely move around and be on different days so everyone can come. It will be once a month starting in January. Details TBA I'm so excited! If you'd like to join our Whatsapp community we have different groups... GUESTS CORE MEMBERS VIBE GUIDES GUEST DJs If you join as a GUEST you can vote on upcoming polls, get first crack at two for one tickets and more. A great place to share our projects and ideas, links etc. We will ask that people bring their own projects, we will also have some supplies. We may have a guest crafter / artist do a little demo. Vendor and Sponsor opportunities will become available as it grows. $10 - $20 entry Supplies will be extra $ depending on what's available. Some will be free or donated. Our CORE CREW... These will be members that are our core group will help make the main decisions and can host an event on their own, set up a DJ or is a DJ etc. We will rotate monthly. We are looking for a couple more people. Then we have the VIBE GUIDES who will be like volunteers except when possible they will receive an honorarium. Then of course our GUEST DJs Please request to join the group that resonates. There will be short questionnaire to fill in for each role so I know levels of commitment, skills and availability. I'll have a venue and date plus marketing done blbefore the 31st (or let's hope) for our launch party they will be once a month and locations may move aroundike I said. A few venues have reached out. Thursdays look like the best night but may change due to availability and to accommodate our community. I like the idea of a Saturday afternoon also. I have about 5 people who want to be VIBE GUIDES and 2 others who have expressed interest in the CORE CREW. Let's see if we can get this baby to fly!

(Wanted to throw this one to the network for feedback) Let's talk about Salty, coming up on May 1–2. Last year, we braved one of Bamfield’s biggest early spring storms in March and still delivered an amazing event that the locals and many enjoyed. We have had requests locally to do it again. Yes, we had a few hiccups—like that hotel hot water situation and some production issues due to weather and fatigue—but in the end, everyone had a fantastic time. Last year, as a first-year festival, we ended up in the red financially. We want to avoid that this year. That’s part of the reason we’ve shifted the date from mid-March to May. It’s a significant change in timing, and we’re hoping it makes a big difference. Ultimately, the event’s viability really depends on about 60–70% of attendees being up for camping at Pachena Bay. May 1–2 is still in the shoulder season, so camping and rental costs are much lower than during Pachena. A few thoughts we’ve been having about what contributed to the difficulty in attendance: - The time of year was brutal. The weather was nasty, so no last min fomo sales - Lots of local accommodations weren’t available due to it being too early - Spring break and it being 19plus - We focused on live music more (due to being in the middle of Bamfield with the main stage and wanting to design an event more akin to Woodstove or Song & Surf) The changes (for those who were there) would be: - Way better time of year - Triple the production down at Pachena and making the campsite a much bigger focus with lots to do - Bringing in a bit more electronic music to the campsite and throughout - Opening up the event to all ages I’d love to hear your feedback and thoughts on how to make this year’s edition stronger and more sustainable. Hey all, Some of you may have noticed we are refunding anyone for any reason on New Year's and Pachena Bay. All refunded tickets are being resold exclusively here. When we refund, we refund the person 100%, and that costs us transaction and cancellation fees, so we add that to the resale price. This effort takes time and money, BUT it eliminates FB Scam Bots and bullshit accounts by cutting off all supply out in the public realms. We are happy to be adding more value to members in this way. We would prefer if only members used this for themselves, but we can make exceptions here and there if members have friends they really want to come....
