We currently run a real estate portfolio that includes 3 Airbnbs and 2 long term rentals. We are planning to purchase a foursome to a charity golf tournament and give away a weekend at one of our mountain Airbnbs as a part of a charity silent auction. Are there any tax benefits we should be aware of when considering how we structure the donation? I’ve read that we should structure it as a sponsorship so we can write off as a marketing expense. Any tips?

We joined this community to try to educate ourselves to more efficiently utilize our money, not only for tax savings, but generational wealth. We have always been interested in real estate investments, just waiting to build our foundation to have enough money to purchase our first rental property.
