Our education system was built for the industrial age, not the AI age.
For decades, we taught everyone the same way, at the same pace, with the same goals. That worked when the world moved slowly. It doesn’t anymore. With AI, we can now hyper-personalize learning for every student based on their background, goals, and pace. Scalable. Efficient. Human-centered. The risk is simple. Education move slowly. AI doesn’t. If we don’t evolve fast enough, entire generations will enter the job market unprepared for reality. In my opinion, the winners will be the ones who act on AI now, not later. The most underrated version of this problem isn’t what schools teach — it’s the practitioners who locked in their AI skills from 2023 and stopped adapting. The half-life of a specific AI tool or workflow is under 18 months right now. Someone who mastered ChatGPT prompting in 2023 isn’t automatically equipped for 2026. The tool changed. The reasoning didn’t keep up. The meta-skill that doesn’t expire: being able to learn fast, apply it immediately, break it deliberately, and unlearn when the evidence says to. That’s not taught in any curriculum. It’s practiced by doing.
