Passed DP-600
Just cleared DP-600 and wanted to share a quick exam pattern for anyone preparing. Exam structure: - Case study: 1 case study with 4 questions - Standalone questions: 48 - Majority were scenario-based, not definition-heavy Tech focus I noticed: - A good number of T-SQL questions - 2–3 questions each from DAX and KQL - Strong emphasis on Fabric concepts, especially why you’d choose one approach over another My takeaways: - Don’t just memorize features—understand when and why to use them - Hands-on familiarity with Fabric really helps, even if limited - Reading scenarios carefully is critical; many questions test judgment, not syntax
Passed DP-600

[DP-600] 1.3 RLS, OLS, CLS, File-level access control | Q&A & Discussion
Use this thread to ask any questions you might have about this lesson: #1.3 RLS, OLS, CLS, File-level access control 👇
@Nachiket Kamat There's actually an important distinction here. For item-level permissions in Fabric (like sharing the Lakehouse itself), you're correct, only workspace Admins and Members can change item-level permissions or share with people outside the workspace. However, the statement about "Workspace admins, members, and contributors" refers specifically to folder-level access control via OneLake data access roles which is a different feature. According to Microsoft documentation on OneLake security prerequisites: "To configure OneLake security, you must be an Admin or Member in the workspace, or have Write and Reshare permissions" So Contributors CAN create and manage OneLake data access roles for folder-level granularity, but they CANNOT change item-level permissions (that's Admin/Member only).
@Nachiket Kamat You are right. OneLake data access roles indeed apply to both tables and folders.
