AI in the Trades
Hi all, I'm currently working on setting up an FSM system including AI Tools that I want to sell to companies in the trades sector, so plumbers, roofers, electricians, you name it. I'm working on adding an Agent for lead generation and 24/7 availability and customer service. I'm adding tools to photograph worksites that automate note-taking and gps-location verification for work performed, tools for periodic customer relations (for gardeners e.g. seasonal reminders), automated quotes and invoicing and more. I wanted to ask if anybody has had experience in selling these kinds of systems to the Trades sector, and if so, how you went about offering your services. I know in the area I live, tradesmen can be pessimistic of new technology. Any advice on approaching these small companies (1-5 employees) would be greatly appreciated, as well as advice on pricing for delivery and monthly maintenance. Sincere thanks, Max
First Automation
I work for the largest distributor of diving equipment in the Benelux area, but lo and behold; AI is a foreign concept to pretty much everyone that works there! My first order of business there since starting here was coming up with an automation that would most positively impact sales. I came up with an automation that creates 'On-demand, Automated and Personalized' product advice for potential customers looking for diving gear. The customer fills in a form with roughly what they're looking for, their budget and their location. After that, the automation pulls from both our list of dealers and our product catalogue and advises 1-3 products that best fits their preferences (with clickable links to our website, prices and specs), and where their closest dive store is that sells this equipment, along with addresses, emails and phone numbers. Brilliant stuff 😄 The hardest part was what came next; getting the AI to suggest an entire kit of multiple items. Creating that nuance where it would suggest equipment within certain price ranges was difficult, because in the beginning it would, for example, suggest the most expensive dry-suit, and a really cheap regulator. I ended up creating a list of 'Rules of thumb' to follow (which it would pull from a HTTP request), like a budget range, midrange and high range and to try suggesting products within similar ranges. At the same time, I also wanted it to suggest relatively higher quality items for the big 4 (suit, buoyancy vest, divecomputer and regulator) and less expensive items for the fins, masks etc. in keeping with the customer's budget. All in all, I've almost ironed out all the kinks and will be ready to put it online in the coming weeks.
Make.com -> Personal Gmail connection
Hi all, Thanks for your replies on my last post. I managed to get it working after all 👌I was getting redirect_uri_mismatch. Turns out I had too many scopes running and only https://mail.google.com/ was necessary. Allowed that in the Google Cloud Portal, filled in ID and Secret and tried again and it let me through. Sent a test mail to myself and it came through without issue. Will update if I run into anymore issues. Sharing as a post incase someone else new runs into this problem 👌
Make.com and gmail connection
Hi all, I've followed Liam's guide to the letter to connect make.com to my personal gmail account, but I keep getting Access blocked: This app's request is invalid. Has something changed recently concerning the connection process, and has anyone else had trouble with this?

@Ai Tech I figured it out, but thank you anyway
Introduction
Hi, my name's Max and I'm from the Netherlands. I recently noticed that in the area I live in in the Netherlands, AI is still a very foreign concept. Obviously most people have heard of ChatGPT, but that's it. I realised that there is massive potential for me to become possibly one of the first or only experts in this field where I live and bring this advancement to businesses that sorely need it. That's why I'm excited to learn all I can and set this up for myself. Thanks for having me 🍕
