Nailed it.
Paste Your Show Link & Introduce Yourself Below!
Welcome to the 0.053125% club! Congratulations on making the jump from consumer to creator and launching your work-in-progress-show! (Here's a link to the first course module if you missed it). The next step is to share it with the community and introduce yourself. 1. Copy your Spotify Link from Spotify For Podcasters (grab it here) 2. Paste it in the comments below 3. Let us know where you're from and if you've any potential topics or themes for your show (No worries if you don't know yet! The next module will cover that!) Feel free to create a new post with any questions you have while we build out the programme and we'll be happy to answer them. So excited to have you here and for this next step in your life! — Matt P.S. Completing this action step will unlock the next module ;)

@Daniel Nicol Wilkommen mein freund!
Launching internal podcast tomorrow
After months of preparation and prioritizing, we're launching our internal video podcast for the large organization that I work for. It will be a global effort and our first episode is interviewing the head of Customer Support in our India office. The audience is roughly 3k Customer Support Representatives around the world, while it will be available for the other 27k employees within the company. The goal with this is to develop more employee engagement and connection, while we will use segments of these interviews in social media posts. Our interviewers will change each time while focusing on these 30 minute interviews with global leadership. Thank you @Matthew Thompson for the inspiration and framework for developing podcasts. I will still prioritize my own podcast that would be public. For now, only one podcast at a time!

9 Insights from starting from scratch
Just wanted to share as I edit a few podcasts 1. I hate editing (Probably need to outsource this) 2. Editing - It takes me a long time 3. It is amazing how many umm and arrs there are from guests 4. It is amazing how many times people say "you know" as if I know what they are talking about 5. Some guests are excellent communicators but when recording stumble a lot - maybe I need to make them feel at ease a bit more?? 6. You learn a lot about yourself in the process too 7. I need a better process to tell people about my podcast after - just an easy system to check the boxes for promotion 8. One podcast a week was too much for me - so settled on one every two weeks which seems more reasonable. (Need to get one or two ahead of myself) 9. I have a goal set for a minimum of 20 episodes and see how I feel after that. If I am still enjoying it or not. That is it for now - keep moving forward PS: Could have made it 10 insights for a round number - so one more nugget, if you are starting out. Just start with minimal equipment. I just have a mic and my Macbook + Riverside. Nothing fancy but learning as I go. 1% better each time and after my goal I might upgrade camera etc. PPS: @Matthew Thompson you are the Mr Miyagi of podcasting - any tips for diving deeper into the grit of a topic outside of the airplane framework? Any questions you use?

Awesome list brother! Wondering if you would experiment with streaming your episodes live? (That way you'd have no editing! Plus you could do this straight from Riverside onto YouTube) Guests stumbling: the more comfortable you are, the more comfortable they will be it. Will take some time. You're already getting there! 20 episodes is a great idea! Diving deeper: follow your own curiosity and don't be afraid to break script! You'll start mastering the art of diving down a rabbit hole while finding a way to bring it back to the narrative pillars! — Matt

@Nick McCashin Here's a guide on how people can join your live call from Skool calendar via Riverside: https://the-podcast-key.notion.site/How-to-join-Riverside-Studio-as-an-audience-50e090e6787e4a339de0bc650b45ce2b?pvs=4
PLAN B -POD/VLOG - one place change from Ep31 (D32)
What day of the week is best for a POD/VLOG (to publish)? After 31 days in of my daily (trial POD/VLOG) and some great honest FEEDBACK from a good personal friend of mine (straight between the eyes) from poor sound quality (out walking) with wired and wireless Airpods, repeating myself (my personality and attention in two places, talking and walking) and rushing the episodes (plus making it up along the way and being genuine and authentic) on each episode plus trying to cram it all in on a busy and now busier schedule and new job - I have listened and take the feedback on board and spent time reflecting and have decided to reduce to quality and weekly - but think and plan ahead now im up and running!!! great lesson 'imperfect action' eg get going then pause, reflect and tweak- I own it and take accountability and also not afraid to pull and change it! Not after any high fives for this just sharing. What day of the week do you think is best if any (to publish your weekly episode)? Thanks Si

Done is better than perfect bro. You've learned more in those first 31 episodes than you could ever imagine. If it was me I'd encourage you to keep going with high volume. To be perfectly blunt, no-one is gonna listen anyway, so you may as well bang your reps out while you still have the luxury of privacy! Then from there you can get fancy. My advice to start structuring your daily's with Hook-Retain-Reward is a great place to start. When it comes to "what days work best" the non-technical answer is it doesn't matter. Just pick one and never miss posting on it. (I haven't missed a Monday in 7-years and it's probably the most important habit I've ever kept up).
